It?s happened enough there are multiple examples of people imprisoned because they said the truth and you know it.
I?m not wasting my time as I vowed not to engage in situations like this with you.
You are part of the establishment who is happy to carry out 2 tier justice.
I?d rather sleep on the streets than carry out the kind of hypocrisy that happens in this country.
    I?ll leave it at that

You're not getting it. Give your own head a wobble.

    Blame the system.

The law as it is, has been applied.

Potentially, inciting violence is far more dangerous than one bloke kicking another blokes head in.

It's like basic human rights. It applies to every scumbag going.

Do I like it? No I don't. I'm not even sure Kerr is comfortable with it.

He called this as soon as the sentence was given. He knew it would be changed on appeal.

    Don't shoot the messenger.

Anyone who doesn?t believe that there is a 2 tier justice system in place in England is either lying or dumb.
It?s not about this situation it?s about what?s happening all over the country.
It?s incomprehensible not to believe that influences from high up aren?t driving this.
Like I said dumb or lying.

The MP could well have killed the victim, such was the aggressive nature of this assault and to come away with no jail sentence is deplorable and does not look good at all.

If there are multiple examples of people imprisoned because they told the truth you'll have no trouble giving the single example that I've asked for.

So you'd prefer not to talk about Amesbury on this thread and want to widen it to what's happening all over the country.

    Examples?

The expression 2 tier justice system implies that people are being treated differently for similar offending based upon some undefined set of rules. As far as I can see, the majority of posters on here want to talk about how they think that people involved in the post Southport violence should get a slap on the wrist whilst Amesbury should be hammered.

It's almost as though posters are allowing their politics to cloud their viewpoints.

I'm interested if those feeling that those jailed for their part in inciting and taking part in the summer riots would also agree that the jail sentences handed out to these climate activists are further evidence of a 'two tier' judicial system against people taling part in protests for a cause that they believe in?

Were they acted upon early enough Raging? By that I mean that they were allowed to stop traffic and then the police looked to be stood around them and protecting them whilst people were being held up for hours.
If they had blocked a road and then the police moved them on when they were able to get to them then the point would have been made and any charges brought to the demonstrators at the time for crimes committed.

Do I think that their sentenses were too long then I believe they were.

Does the punishment fit the crime? In britain I would say no!

Is the law an ass then yes!

Are the police given the tools needed? Are they restricted in what they can do by the CPS then yes! It has been shown in the hearing this week Police chief 'told not to reveal Rudakubana's faith'.
Would that have made a difference in protests against the immigrants? Probably but it may have been worse for the Muslim sector.

It could be argued there are enough tools in the police already

    Explain this.

26 pounds fine for assaulting a policewoman and doesn't even have to do the community service.
