Dan would have signed a new deal if we'd have paid what he wanted
It was purely a financial decision

    I sincerely hope he doesn’t.

That and the passive-aggressive badmouthing of Notts - a club that is objectively superior to MKD in every way other than the splashing of cash.
That was my issue, I imagine he?s doubled his wages at least but why he has to say the audition comments is beyond me. It?s bad enough he wasn?t playing for our shirt that game but then to say it with such glee was a total smack in the face, we?re well rid even if he is a very good player.
As for MK, spent all that money, manager who?s just won a promotion and sat where they are and some of us think we?ve got it bad.

I don't want to defend DC too much, as he did ultimately say those things in his interview, but someone in MK's media department really should have seen those comments and realised they'd reflect poorly and shouldn't be made public. Players say things they probably shouldn't all the time, the more savvy clubs stop that getting out.

Ultimately I ignore any comments he's made. One of his last appearances was against the team he ultimately knew he'd be signing for and he remained professional on the pitch and helped us secure the win. If he doesn't get the second and they equalise those 2 points could be the difference between promotion and not.

After spending over ?400,000 on a League Two player with less than 6 months on his contract run does not scream MK Savvy operators so not surprised.

I am certainly enjoying our buying and selling in recent times

So how long is Crowley stuck at MK Dons as I can't find anything? I can't see him being able to get any higher wages anywhere else in the near future especially while MK sit a few places above non league

I think he knows that so he has cashed out if you look at his career he wont go much higher.

Id guess he signed for at least 2.5 years if he cost ?400k.

He'd get 10% of that fee if he didnt ask to move.

You then look at those wages ?5-6k a week over 2.5 years thats about ?700k.

As a league two player at his age you are not turning that amount of money down.

The media exit interview didnt come over well but players arent known for their brains !

Good point. That interview should never have aired without editing those ridiculous comments out.
