Burnley Manager and Owners disrespect supporters and the Club

I thought I was done on here but Saturday was a disgrace. First of all our supporters paid out hard earned money only to see 9 positions changed to a team that played disjointedly through out. Disgrace for our fans. Secondly the club had an opportunity to progress and chose to field a weakened team, if ever there was an opportunity to put our club in the shop window it was on Saturday but we didn’t take our opportunity. It was a deliberate decision to put our club at risk of losing. Both the manager and the owners should be ashamed. If we didn’t want to progress then we should have lost third round. To get supporters hopes up and let them down is disgraceful. If nothing else the owners should be voriciius enough to hawl SP over the coals and at least refund monies to the supporters. It is not clear how much influence Alan Pace has over team selection it is simply unacceptable. If second teamed were to be involved then why were Bauress and McDermott not involved after such performances at Reading. To say I am disappointed is the biggest understatement ever. I expect the club to always pick the best team that is available anything less is totally disrespectful to each and every supporter. For which the club does not deserves the support it gets. Never mind concentrating on this and that our journey should be to win as many games as possible with the best team available. I begin to wonder about whether or not I want to support a manager who has less ambitions than me maybe we should consider requesting our season ticket money back because I don’t want to support a club who do not give themselves the best possible opportunity to win each and every game. Owners and Manager should be made to explain.

I think you should get off your high horse because you obviously can't see the wood for the trees.

The competition is an hindrance to a side chasing promotion as our rivals would confirm. Leeds went down 2 nil at home to Millwall in round 4, they also made 9 changes and performed pitifully.

The match wasn't in vain has it gave match time to the likes of Koleosho who was recovering from injury, and it gave us a chance to see Shelvey in all his glory

We also have a big game away to Cardiff on Tuesday and that is the match we have to focus on, not a cup tie worth a couple of 100k

My immediate knee jerk reaction was the same as yours Lancy but now I’ve calmed down I think our absolute priority must be to get promoted this season. The financial future of the club may depend on it. I mentioned elsewhere that the game schedule is ridiculous and we must win at Cardiff and fresh legs are needed. We cannot have it both ways but to mug our fans off is bad business I reckon.

Although a bit light weight I think the team he put out should have won but they didn't seem up for it and to get beaten3-0 was embarrassing , the players should be trying to impress their manager and get a first team place, no one did. Agreed it was a big let down for the travelling fans but we've all seen worse at some point. Throwing ?225k away was also questionable when it was there for the taking.

ps. good to see you're still here lanky

It said on the bbc that the reward for progressing was 2 million to the club that got through.

It?s actually that we?d have earned 950,000 up to
That game another 450,000 for getting to quarters and another 450000 for getting to semi and so on.

OK Ballcock but clearly you are not a winner. I expect my team to be the best we can be every game not just when somebody thinks otherwise. I want my team too win every game they can and not just lie down every now and then. So you are right if you dont want a winning team all the time but it is not for me.
