Sorry for the multi posts derby. You say Evans gambled on jch, Keely and raggett and got it wrong. He can't get it wrong with a gamble.
They may not have worked out to certain expectations but jch goal return for games/minutes played is not bad.
The games raggett played in usually ended up with us getting points. Kelly has offered nuffing that I can recall...
So technically Evans didn't get it wrong the players haven't played enough. Is that an age thing as none of the mentioned were injury prone players

Is it just me that feels so very proud when one of our academy players gets into the first team and does really well? I?d love for us to be able to do this on a regular basis and for them to go on to have very good careers

If they did say something nobody would believe them anyway based on previous utterances from the chairman.
It's more likely there isn't actually a plan, just a hope that something better will happen.
Season ticket renewal time will be interesting

Mellow, the way the season has been and all of the above posts attached to this thread, I feel TS is in for a big shock when it comes to renewals.

You're right Brin. I can name at least 20 supporters who won't be renewing and many of whom would only change their minds if Stewart sells up.Canary Wharf contact tells me there is considerable interest in buying an English club, particularly from America and the Middle East. Convinced he wants to sell but he's probably wanting too much !

If he's in for a big shock Brin it just emphasises how out of touch he is.
If the same set up is still in place for next season I imagine there will be a substantial drop in season ticket sales.
I did a rough count at the Barnsley game and there were at least 20 empty seats in a relatively small area of the East Stand that are "owned" by season ticket holders who haven't been for a long time.
I'll be surprised if any of those people renew and there are loads of empty seats all round the ground at most games now.
    Not good.

Lots of fans have just had enough of all the empty promises and like many others, I will not be renewing, if nothing changes at the very top.

We are still averaging about 8000 home fans per game, so last season it was the larger number of away fans what made the attendance look better.
There's plenty on here what wasn't going to renew last year but have done.

................but it'll be interesting to "hear" how our sales for next season are progressing............utm.

I would expect an average attendance drop of about 500 or so
