I thought Hatton was on our subs bench on Saturday??

Based on what I have seen of our forward line, McGuckin could possibly have been given more opportunities.

Who knows what goes off in training and why our management team make some of their decisions and team selections?

Hatton was on the bench but Gru's magic eye won't have seen that.

It was rumoured that John Marquis was a Miller's target in January 2019 when Warne was with us. The rumour was soon quashed.
I reckon Marquis would have been a brilliant addition. Instead RUFC wasted lots of time and money on other individuals. RUFC not wanting to invest wisely in an excellent player?
Marquis has still got the energy and the will to help win games.
Watched his on field movements last Saturday. His work rate was breathtaking.

I knew he was on the bench when team was announced but didn't get on as usual.

John Marquis missed a penalty for Shrewsbury Town in 1-1 away draw at Reading on Tuesday night.

Goalkeeper saved penalty, rebound came back to Marquis, he duly missed the goal.

Ironically it's Reading v Rotherham United today, 15th February 2025.
Will Hugill impress more than John Marquis?
Will Hugill even be allowed to play?

Marquis certainly put Gerry Gow to shame on Saturday when he managed to get sent off after just 13 seconds. I wonder if Hugill can beat that?

Hugill seems to be persona non grata at the moment. Is he laughing all the way to the bank? Well he was certainly enjoying himself on the pitch during his half time warm up last night. When I say half time warm up, I mean he was stood having a laugh with A N Other at one point. Is he taking the pish?
No, he's taking a decent wad of money every week.

Still we won without him again.

As for Marquis? I didn't know he had the need for a red card on his bucket list. Every day's a school day, eh?

    Up The Millers!!!
