Well I hope the team hasn?t chucked in the towel as well.
Well I hope the team hasn?t chucked in the towel as well.
Point taken, TT, and kudos to anyone who manages to remain positive but all the ingredients are there for a repeat experience of last time...and the time before...and the time before that.
And this was before the reports of Botman being out too started to emerge.
This team, when they play greater than the sum of their parts, are a match for anyone.
They've shown that they can also play at a level much less than the sum or their parts-and with some of the key parts being removed, the bar for those levels is definitely being lowered.
Apologies for the negativity and maybe I need to wind my neck in...it's just hard when we get so close and are dealt blow after blow.
Hall out for rest of the season, its confirmed.
Big blow.
Burn against Salah... 🤣
With the lack of cover at CB it'll not be Burn but Targett who will play LB.
I don't have an issue with Matt Targett stepping in. He was awesome during his loan signing, he's had some bad luck with injuries and illness.
In Barnes, much like Targett we have to very good quality Premier League Quality professionals who can do a great job. They are both ambitious lads with a point to prove. Targett has it in his locker to provide assists and put in a solid defensive performance.
Barnes has goals and assists in him too. Over to them to prove why they should be in the first team and/or put themselves in the shop window for the summer transfer window.
Either way, I'm not gonna write us off until the match is in the books. If we win great, if we don't, once again, as a club, we've learned from our weaknesses.
The board will see that Eddie Howe is a man who can bring trophies and success to the club, he needs a squad of players capable of competing for trophies and ultimately the title across the course of the season.
We've been depleted as a squad due to financial constraints, yet still we're in the final and sit in 6th 4 points behind a faltering Forest in 3rd. That is, yet again, an incredible feat. of management in a tumultuous season where no one aside from LiVARpool have show anything approaching consistency.
So heads up, shoulders back, GAME ON!
Howay the lads!
