Should never have been appointed to begin with, and the fact we paid money for him is laughable.
Cant argue with this. Relied on players who either never play or whove left, but Maynard never gets an ounce extra from those who can play.

If Williams fancies it for 10 games why not?

That's unfair, a wooden spoon is useful.

When Ardley was sacked Notts were 6th and he'd collected 8 points from his last 12. However, Ardley wasn't their own man. I suppose Maynard might not be either though, if the decision or recommendation came from Montague.

Maynard will be here until the end of the season, I really can't see him being sacked before then.

Woeful January signings, taking a punt on kids and not experience... can see us sliding out of the playoff picture now... we just look completely clueless and without JJ and Didzy we are lost... sad after the season we have had so far.... can't see him turning it around when we loose at least 1 player every week to injury and the replacements are dreadful.... so its an out unfortunately 😪

I'll repeat what I said in the other thread. The new signings haven't impressed, but they're not alone. Established players who until recently were performing well are now looking way off form. The whole team looks slow, hesitant and badly under-prepared, and if you're a new player coming into that then you're obviously going to suffer.

I'm seriously beginning to wonder what walked out of the door when we had the sudden split in the managerial team in late January. Since then, only the performance at Gillingham and maybe the one at Fleetwood have been what you might call decent. The rest have been pretty poor, even in the games we won against the division's stragglers. We look like a badly-prepared team. We're trying to continue playing the possession football that is our identity, but everyone wants too many touches, the movement off the ball has largely disappeared and we're playing in front of teams at a snail's pace. I'm beginning to wonder if Maynard was just the PR guy and Saunders was the one with the tactical and training expertise.

Maynard didn't get rid of Macca Crowley, Nemane, his coaching staff, Montague, he was given potential which has fallen flat on its face.
The owners need to take some criticism of this and pull Maynard out from under the bus.
Give him the tools to work with.

Second game in a row with no striker on the bench - we’ve learned nothing from last season.
Yes how dare we let our players get injured..! Have we not learnt anything, our most dangerous and creative players at that..!! Unexplained departures? I think we all know why they went. Cash and players wanting to go I think about covers that for you !!..we have a decent squad but not decent enough to be the first eleven on the team sheet for over half a season because of injuries.when Maynard had his best eleven to choose from we were doing ok...! Better than ok infact !!!x
