I doubt it will be Williams. They'll have a crack with Lewington, but probably then announce a well known name who has managed higher up - much higher I guess. Maybe Steve Cooper or Nigel Clough?

They have the money, if not the support base.

Last time I saw Luke Williams he looked like he could do with a good rest before taking on another job.

They have gone with an interim team.

I guess they are charged with making sure they stay in L2 (which they will) and maybe if they do well they will be given a crack at next season?

He should know he worked there as assistant manager in the past.

Mind that not mean much with the new owners they might be daft enough to go with a name with zero coaching credentials

This one is both a “chopping block” and “ex-Notts” combo:

League One Barnsley have sacked head coach Darrell Clarke after nine months in charge.
The Reds have lost seven of their past 11 matches to drop out of play-off contention and down to 10th place.
Assistant coach and former Barnsley captain Conor Hourihane, 34, has been placed in interim charge for the rest of the season, and will be assisted by coaches Jon Stead, Martin Devaney and Tom Harban.

I really hope the new team get them 3 points on Saturday.
