Someone on X suggested Paul Hooks is between Tommy and Super Mac.

For some reason, Devlin and Legg are the two players that come to mind when I think of that Mick Walker team. Loved those times and players as a kid.

Further reminiscing - article from The Football League Paper (almost 10 years old now, so some things have changed and don't know how accurate the details are) Where are they now' of the promotion winning team of 80/81

I remember one season Notts admin staff couldn't believe how many photos of Paul Hooks they were selling compared to other players. Apparently the one legged trouser snake was poking out, hence why it was so popular.

Let's embed the image here for anybody who can't see it....

Paul Hooks made his first team debut about 3 years before Mick Walker joined the club I think, so it wouldn't make a great deal of sense for him to be there, but having said that - if it is McCulloch, he didn't play for Mick Walker either.

Darren Davies was the only blonde player who broke through that I could think of (looking at it again, might be a dark haired player who's gone grey). There could be a player among them that didn't make the first team. Surprised Dean Yates isn't there.

No ifs no buts that is John Balfour McCulloch

Comparing with old pics, I think it's safe to say Hooks is among them. The same shape of smile.

So that leaves two unidentified. I'm really not convinced that's Davies in the dark blue pullover, and who is the guy on the extreme right?

Definitely Darren Davis. Would never have recognised him, but if you do a Google Images search for Darren Davis Notts County, you'll find an image from his LinkedIn profile - he's now a Sales Manager. Good shout on Paul Hooks as well, again I'd never have recognised him.

Just leaves the mystery man on the right...absolutely no idea whatsover on this one.

The way he is standing off to one side at more of an angle, as opposed to lining up properly with the rest of them, suggests he might not have been a player but a member of the current staff.

Good point. Les Bradd slightly offset to the left too, and obviously on the current staff, so could be that they were bookending the ex-players who attended.
