That would never have (almost) happened if we had played with an inverted number 6 in a double-pivot, as England did last night with Lewis Skelly when they defeated the mighty Albania. It?s quite elementary, really, modern-day football formations, I mean. Any managers, actual or aspiring, on this forum will, I?m sure, reinforce this claim. Or, perhaps they didn?t get stuck in sufficiently in the year 2000 ?!?
