    Agreed Topster!

I do think that a lot of this negativity you read online is from trolls. Non-Newcastle United fans with an agenda. However, us Geordies are an emotional bunch so when these narratives get echoed enough they start to take root.

This win will have absolutely put all that nonsense to bed for the foreseeable future.

The run in is gonna be electric now.

The summer transfer window is gonna be huge!

Looks like from all the reports and also from the grapevine over here that it's green lights all the way to spend as much as possible. Mitchell & Howe have set out their list in the transfer summit back end of Jan. Sheikh Yasir's people & the Rubens are fully committed with the finances.

Howe's record as NUFC manger -
    1/2 season - Finishes 11th from 19th relegation fodder
1st full season - Qualifies for the Champions League
2nd full season - Wins the clubs first Domestic Trophy in 70 yrs

That is what you call exponential progress.

Anyone anywhere on any platform says otherwise, just laugh at them and move on. They're trolling or utterly clueless.

Either way not worth engaging with.

You missed the season where we played in the CL 🤷*♂️

Third full season is still pretty f**king impressive, but let?s get it right huh.

As for ?no criticism? and ?we?re not pundits or analysts??

As I?ve said in the past, no one is immune to criticism, Howe will do stuff I disagree with and I?ll say? becasue I have an opinion and I?m gonna voice it? and that?s the entire point of the forum? it?s not so we can just agree with each other and have a big circle of agreeable people w@nking each other off.

Also that only apply now in good times, the no criticism? or was it in force when Ashley was in charge? Nah, didn?t think so.

How about you just disagree with people, but not tell them what to do? and stop using a brilliant success of a cup to score cheap f**king points with the ?criticism? line coming up? AGAIN.

Agree with Raga about the mentality shift it'll give the players and the image of the club.

We can say to agents and player - we're a club that wins silverware.

Ah yes, it was you calling for Howe to be replaced a couple of months ago, wasnt it? A great example of what I was talking about.

I dont think anyone who wasnt directly employed by Ashley didnt criticise him. It was very clear cut. Slagging the manager and team off during a poor run of form when we are clearly a work in progress is a different matter.

It's all work in progress for at least the next 3 or 4 seasons because of the way the biased rules are going to attempt to hold us back.

But believe the work in progress from the very minute E.H. was appointed has always been forward going, upwards an onwards, despite the odd setback and blip.

Every team in the division who has been successful in the past has had these, the Manures, Arse-anals, Liverpools, Chelski and Citeh.

If anyone wants to criticise, then cast your mind back only a few seasons and think of the despair there was and then thank your lucky stars that we are where we are and improving day by day.

Be patient and think where we will be in just a few short seasons time and be thankful.

There it is? point scoring monkey? but hey, this is probably the third or fourth time we?ve gone Roy d in this dance? so I guess you knew I?d bite and you?d get to have you say?

Yes, I said big questions would have to be asked IF he didn?t start playing Tonali instead of Longstaff? and was I wrong? No I wasn?t.

Playing f**king point scoring games on the back of winning a cup? hang your head in shame

    Why are you so angry?
If you dont like being proven wrong then dont post such strong and controversial points of view.
Its you who sticks the knife into the club, players and manager when things arent going so well. Thats exactly the time they need our support the most.

Ah, howay lads, not the time for this.
For me, your'e both right. The manager can never be above criticism. Nor can the players. And the point of forums like this is to express your own feelings and opinions.
Equally, opinions should be balanced, not just knee-jerk reactions. And strong criticism should be backed up by reasoning as to what was felt to be wrong, and what might be done to make it better.
After all, everyone is hoping for the same outcome here.

Ok? what am I angry? well basically it?s down to this?

We?ve had this to criticise or not criticise numerous times before.

You hung your little comment out again, and so replied as I always do? and you?re trying to score points at a time like this.

People who have seen the back and forth we?ve had in the past will make their own mind up, but as far as I am concerned it?s pathetic to use the first trophy win in god knows how long to score points by revisiting an old argument.

As for being wrong? I banged on a long time ago saying we needed to start Tonali? but the cool aid drinkers were all ?we have to support Eddie? ?can?t have your own opinion? ?we always win when Longstaff starts?? and that was my issue with Eddie? then we got round to starting Tonali? went on a fantastic run of wins.

So tell me how I?ve been proven wrong to question Howe starting Longstaff over Tonali again, tell me how that is such a ?strong and controversial point of view? I?d say I was proven right 🤣
