The 3rd sayings out, ?Ok I?ll bite? brilliant 😂

    Ok I?ll bite
    Apologists out in force
    Ruthlessly crushed by the apologists

How many times have you pedalled these out, it?s like a chat bot gone wrong.
I know you don?t, let?s call it an informed hunch.

Ps I dont believe they are meant to be squad fillers. They are youngsters that have been identified to have the potential to become very good first team players with the correct coaching and time invested in them.Good enough to become not only first teamers but match winners that would be desired by others if their gamble and investment comes to fruition...x
Boom and bust isn't the only alternative outcome, you could boom and reap the rewards. That's the gamble.

The current owners are basically the equivalent of keeping possession and playing for the penalty shoot out, rather than trying to win in normal time. Yes, that might deliver the desired outcome, but you can't really blame sections of the crowd for getting frustrated and kicking off if they end up conceding a late goal to lose, or suffering the heartbreak of losing the shoot-out.

We have gone for it in the past and got knocked out, so I can see why many are favouring and accepting caution, but if that approach fails and keeps on failing then there will be an inevitable loss of patience and backlash. Going up under Williams wouldn't have entirely erased the memory of just how frustrating things got under Burch and Ardley.

Let me get this right you think the standard of League Two is shocking. You think big spending Port Vale and Chesterfield are dross. It?s weaker this season because of doesn?t have a fourth tier anomaly that was Wrexham and to a lesser degree Stockport. We have mostly average players and a reactive (unimpressive?) manager?

This is the fourth tier of English football. Let?s not forget.

With all that in mind you predicted we would finish 15th so you should be happy with our position right now and throughout the season. If being happy is a stretch then you must be pleasantly surprised all things considered?
He used to predict weekly games basically saying we were going to lose them and then stopped predicting when we weren?t losing them.
Seems hell bent on putting anyone down who doesn?t agree the owners, manager and players are cr@p whilst the rest of us know the owners aren?t a nation state, the managers not Pep and the team isn?t prime Brazil but at least their giving it a go up to now this season and we all know the shortfalls.

Jog on, prat_magpie. No proof has been provided as to my attendance at matches - quelle surprise. I suggest you leave that line of *argument* there because you are comically uninformed (as ever).

With regards to predictions, it may come as a surprise to someone as comically backward as you, but some people don?t religiously live on a message board. As a result, predicting a result of a football match to a bunch of strangers may be considered ?unimportant? and is not the first thing on my mind of a weekend. I imagine that has blown your tiny mind, but it is true.

As for your final comment - I seldom put the club or the team down other than on match days when we have lost. I believe the manager is substandard, yes, and some of the players are very average, but compared to many of the posters on here, I say relatively little. Get your facts straight for once - please?

Hmmm so you went from doing it weekly to not at all when your losing predictions didn?t come through because you?re not on religiously on the board?? Right oh.

Then claim you DO go to matches and then seem to be religiously on the board whilst watching a live game, well when we?re losing, absolutely brilliant.

No one thinks SMs fantastic, I?ve backed him as I think he?s done ok this season, if someone?s out there who?s going to get better results from this team let?s get them.

Also everyone knows a lot of our players are average and we could get in the top 3 and also drop out of the playoffs, what is your point ?

You?re calling people apologists when they?re virtually saying what you?ve said 😂.

The facts are they?re not going to go boom or bust, it would probably be safe to say those top 3 on average probably had double our budget.

I agree it?s been a strange season and frustrating one. I was hoping we strengthen well in Jan to get us over the line. Tbf we paid fees for Traore and Jarvis and it gave me some hope but it just hasn?t worked out yet.

Home games have been frustrating especially this season but I think it?s unquestionable it?s hard to open up these low block teams without some real quality which we?ve missed through injury or leaving and makes it even harder to assess how much is actually down to SM.

These are my final submissions to you because it is a waste of life.

When the season began, I predicted that we would lose every week as a) it secretly amused me (and me alone) and b) I hoped I would be proved wrong. After a few weeks, frankly, I lost interest and have not restarted predicting, because as I said, I have better things to do. It is not the case that I stopped because we started to win, as I would have had a field day the last few weeks yet my predictions have not restarted. Making predictions is simply unimportant to me.

With regards to games, I go regularly. I am unable to attend every week as I have a family and a demanding job which takes up a lot of my time at weekends as well as during the week. I do scan the message board during matches because I am interested in what other people have to say. I would anticipate a lot of others do the same - some people post, some do not. As I stated above, in comparison to a lot of posters, I say very little (either on matchdays or otherwise) but, in any event, the last time I checked, it was not against the law to post something.

Contrary to your (true to form) incorrect belief, I do not want us to lose. I want us to win every week and hope against hope SM will turn it around. Do I believe it will happen? No, I do not but I internally maintain some hope. Personally, I believe we will meekly lose in the playoffs but I really do pray that I am wrong.

We each think the other is wrong. I take the view that you are an *apologist*. I believe you blindly accept the party line without question and would happily watch 11 traffic cones if they wore black and white stripes. You think I am a *bed wetter* who moans for no reason and enjoys criticising the club because it gives me a kick. Neither of those views are probably correct but neither of us will change the view of the other either so I am not going to waste any more time on you because it is entirely pointless.

Fair enough, but my issue with you is constantly calling people apologists and causing divides. I’ve never called someone a Bedwetter or a group bedwetters as I believe most on here are somewhere inbetween and they are the majority.

I also agree we’ll probably end up going out in the playoffs and I’m probably only 70-30 we’ll get in them with the current squad availability.

Just got to hope for the best and review after and in an alternative universe Junior Morias goals may fire us to the automatics, crazy but you never know, it’s football.

    Until the next time 😂

If he is going to be out for the season, do we intend to try and get a free agent in or are we trusting in Sam?
There are only 10 weeks left (including play offs) so it will not cost a fortune (in footballing terms), even for someone of higher quality. There has to be someone out there surely.
Same question could be asked about a midfield enforcer or wing back I suppose.
I think we will get a free agent keeper
Unlikely we will take any outfielders who've not been playing recently as they won't be match fit
We tried it with Dan Gosling last year and it didn't work
It's a bit different with keepers, who don't need the lung power

If he is out for the season I hope you are right.
It would be a statement that they still want promotion. Let?s hope it is no more than another fortnight.
