Slocombe 7 Ive never been his biggest fan but he has done really well since coming back in.

Gordon 4 Just utter rubbish. Some fans behind us always used to slag Nemane off, I bet they wouldnt now.

Jarvis 6 Decent enough second half. Should have had a penalty and brought a good save out of their keeper. Id love to see him on the right but Maynard always has to complicate things.

Platt 6 Solid enough against little threat.

Bedeau 6 Defended well, not great going forward, and given one of the most ridiculous yellow cards you will ever see.

Macari 5 I just dont rate the bloke. Looks timid in the tackle and hesitant in possession.

Palmer 6 Bit more tempo and dynamism than recent performances but that would not be hard.

Abbott 6 Ok without really ever shining like he can. Should have done better with his chance in injury time.

Grant 4 Anonymous, ineffective, substandard. Epitomises home performances under Maynard.

Whittaker 6 Puts the effort in but he doesn?t start so regularly in any team seriously going for promotion. Looked a dive from my viewpoint but the camera obviously said differently.

Didzy 6 Herculean effort from him but does try to do much on his own and a lot didnt come off today. Thought the shot at the end was in.

Subs Tsaroulla 6 Only on Planet Maynard does Gordon start and Tsaroulla not. In a normal world he would start on the left and Jarvis on the right.

Can?t remember other subs doing anything. Traore needs a summer I think before hes gonna be any good.
I gave Jarvis my MOTM. I also thought Whittaker had a decent game too. Not too impressed with Traore, he looked like Bambi on ice.
Didzy was out on his feet for those last 20 minutes, and Morias should have come on for him.. Maynard talking boll**ks about we are now building momentum... What game was he watching...

I don't understand the flak SM is getting for playing Jarvis on the left. He is left-footed! When he plays players 'inverted' everyone moans.

The only reason I can think of for Gordon starting is because we don't have another naturally right-footed option, although I have seen more than enough now and would rather have Tsaroulla playing on his wrong side than Gordon at all.

If Austin were available he'd be better there. If Jones were available...

I think it would be a massive mistake to start tinkering with Jarvis position now, but imagine a fit Jones and a confident Jarvis playing like he did 2nd half today, both players able to swap wings throughout the game, would cause absolute havoc and we win the league. These thoughts are what get me through the dark and stormy night...

And also imagine we have got Jatta back home , a sharp Traore blending in, a match fit Sam Austin ratting around and Didzy available every game.

    That should be enough surely.
With those happy thoughts I think I might get to sleep.

agree with most of the ratings, but on:

Gordon - 5 Thought their left back was really good too. Tsaroulla did better when he was tired, but KG kept them busy. Gordon's been more of a threat of late and NT was drifting out of games I thought.

Traore - 6 Thought I saw glimpses of aggression, still needs to 'grow' more into the L2 game, definitely not a plug and play Jan signing.

Whitaker - 5 Still looks short on confidence to me, but he's persistent

Jarvis - 7 Agree MOM almost the only player on the pitch who consistently managed to impact the game, defensively too.

SM - Subs seemed more in tune with the game. And compared to most other teams I've seen in L2 this season who can find a good pass or set up a quick breakaway [even we're still far off our first xi] we still hit heights of passing through the lines no one else can touch - when we actually make it work. Obviously it doesn't happen often enough, but it's not like there's no coaching on display.

eta: thinking back on the game given my prediction, Didzy was the player who could really have made a difference to that game imo, but he played deeper and more conservatively for most of the game until not quite finding an opportunity at the end.

Having brought Morias back from loan I would have given him the last ten minutes rather than Curtis Edwards, because he would be more likely to grab a goal. Edwards looked like a more conservative substitution at a time when we really needed to gamble rather than settle.

Jarvis is right footed, he is playing as an inverted wing back

Yeah I wondered where the left footed info came from
The evidence of my eyes showed Jarvis to be very right footed - he often tries to cut in on his right

Yes I always assumed he was right footed cos he?s always cutting in but the player websites say he?s left. Either way I think he would be decent on the right and allow Jones/Tsaroulla to play on their strongest side.

OK, I'm going to get howls of abuse here. But Jarvis reminds me of a certain Mr T Johnson.
He needs building up and gets knackered on 70 minutes like Tommy, but he has the potential to emulate him. Donning tin hat now.
