Rotator cuff injuries are no big deal in themselves, had several myself over the years.

Therein lies the problem. Once you have had one then who knows?
Probably a good idea though if he is otherwise properly fit.
Absolute maximum of 11 games + 1 set of extra time + 2 sets of the dreaded penalties.

they can range from just needs specific stretching regimen all the way to athletic career ending. If he's back playing then he'll have good physio attention and should be fine.

If we sign him on a short term contract what do we have to lose?

On the face of it he should be an excellent addition for the last 8 games (or more if required) if fit.

Let's not rule out Slocombe too - he's been decent since called upon

Wouldn?t fancy him in a penalty spot out

Not for us... but there is always the first time (let's hope we are home and hosed by then though).

He'll struggle to depose 'Shutout Sam' Slocombe at the moment.

Sam doesn't deserve to be dropped in fairness... pretty faultless since he came back in...very good today...kicking was OK and claimed just about everything... looked like he calmed things down when Newport finally decided to have a go

When it was revealed that Alex Bass was out for a while I feared the worse, but Sam has done a great job since he came back, especially considering his lack of match sharpness. He deserves to keep his place as things stand.
