Naming the ground The New York Stadium,I wonder if TS had in mind selling to American buyers. We are now at a crossroads,if we carry on doing what we've done, we will go only one way.TS has to value the club, at a reasonable saleable price, which will enable this club to move forward with new owners able to fund what needs to be done.

Selling out to an American owner will, in the long run, be bad for RUFC, football in general and the country as a whole.

It's a damaging trend that has gathered pace since Brexit and is bankrupting the country.

Anyone in any doubt over how insidious the US takeover of Britain is should read Vassal State by Angus Hanton. It's one of the best books I've ever read. Enlightening and depressing in equal measure, but with a chink of light/hope towards the end. We can and should do something about it.

Please explain how wealthy American investors buying English football clubs is bankrupting our country. Thought comrade Keir's team was already doing that for us !

Stupid comments like Brexit is to blame is completely laughable.

I'm inclined to agree that, while Brexit can be blamed for many things, it's hard to imagine that American vanity purchases of football clubs is one of them - apart from the nice discount they get from our weak currency.

Funnily enough when I was at Clifton comp around 1997 we got one computer with an internet connection, and I was one of only a handful of students and teachers lucky enough to use it at break time (or realise it even existed).

One of the things I remember doing was reading an article about billionaire Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen buying a second sports team team in the US... and then writing him an email suggesting that he might want to buy Rotherham United.

I never got a reply, but had he listened he could have been ahead of his time!

Yes. Seattle Seahawks, Portland Trailblazers and Rotherham United sounds like a nicely balanced portfolio

Seattle are looking to regain an NBA team and it looks like the going price for a franchise will be around $5B.

Well we've got Arabs buying the big clubs here so not exactly the same.

The percentage of black players is definitely increasing though, that's just a fact.

Internationally speaking, the Paris banlieues produce more professional footballers than anywhere else in the world.

That last sentence of yours, and I quote, 'The percentage of black players is definitely increasing though, that's just a fact', is somewhat disconcerting.
    Is that a problem?

As for talk of 'white owners' and 'plantations'!! OMG!!

Freaking hell this is supposed to be a football forum!!

Mods, what do you think about what's been posted?
