    Big games

    Tuesday night

    Port Vale v Bradfud
    Grimsby v Crewe
    Donny v Walasll

Really need 6pts v Newport & MK. If we are to really be in contention now for autos, no less will do. Draws now no good. Not enough games left to fanny around. It's sink or swim for me

Today's games have a couple of big matches as well so 3 pts today and then on Wednesday would be most welcome. However we know how Notts have failed this season when we face these kind of games.

    Crewe v Port Vale
    Walsall v Wimbledon

Ideally those two games will finish draws as then all four teams will have dropped two points.

If someone has to win I would prefer Walsall to beat Wimbledon as we are chasing Wimbledon and the gap is too big between us and Walsall.

If Crewe win they close the gap to the playoffs and if Port Vale win they have an advantage on that 3rd place. So if picking a team to win it would have to be Crewe.

We need to be looking in front of us not behind and it?s up to us to take care of our own business and not rely on others to do us a favour. We have a great opportunity to get six points from the next two games.

Bad news - Vale score a late goal again! Got to give them credit as they seem to do that a lot. Hopefully Crewe can get one at the death.

Not ideal, but on the plus side at least Wimbledon didn't win. Port Vale are a bit like how Wrexham were when they were in the same leagues as us. Scoring late goals that turn defeats into draws and draws into wins as has been the case today. That's how you get promoted.

Frustrating that they've taken six points from us this season, both by 1-0 wins as well but we cannot do anything about that now. Just got to keep chasing those above us and putting the pressure on them.

Bradford, Grimsby, Port Vale, Colchester and Doncaster are all in the top five of the form table in the last ten games. Hopefully they have peaked too early and some of those drop off.

Walsall have slumped to 23rd in the form guide in the last six and have not won in seven games yet still retain top spot. It's unbelievable league two this season.

The way that other teams are also slipping up I think 4 points from the next 2 games would keep us up there, 6 points would obviously be brilliant but we are not the only contender to be dropping points. COYP

4 points is the minimum really. Given our upcoming games, any less and it will be a real struggle.

It's interesting how we have one thread running, with 8 games left, about what we need for autos and another about getting a new manager. Is there not a message about entitlement there ?

Absolutely, lot of entitlement on show. Its our second season at this level since coming back, look at how many years its taken ?massive? Bradford to get their house in order to take the step up.

We?re doing a decent job considering, and I hope we can do it - but we have no right to expect it.

It's got nowt to do with how many years you are in a division or having "rights". It's about here & now. That is all that matters & what we should be looking for in the final few games, especially when you are in the mix.
