What's the latest definition of 'poverty' ? Can't afford a mobile, Netflix, tatts, or a holiday in Magaluf ?

They are already running at a loss and the Sun Bed God might have just finished them off.
Besides 20% VAT, US cars have to pay import duties of 10%, UK and EU cars imported into the USA pay 2.5% import duties. The various sales taxes and state taxes in the US apply to all cars, not just imported ones. Like I said, Trump is just levelling the playing field.

What I liked yesterday in the Telegraph was the piece just under the one moaning about the damage Trump's tariff will do to our car industry. This one was one pointing out that the 15 thousand pound per car fine for not meeting the ZEV mandate requirement was wrecking our car industry. We don't need Trump tariffs to damage our car industry, it's being wrecked by our vary own eco-loons in government.

Are the US at war with Denmark & Greenland? Trump has demanded that Greenland surrender to America. WTF?

The only UK car manufacturer under threat from the Sun Bed King is Aston Martin. Personally I ain't bothered one bit.

Oh yes, lots like that in this area. My neighbour, an ex-miner and engineer has recently turned 70 years old and is always busy doing something. He volunteered to help the local foodbank by delivering food parcels to various recipients. His son, who works in the local hospital told him that he wouldn't last long doing that.
He started one Monday and I was talking to him on the Wednesday and asked him about the job. He told me that he packed it in after two days because he was going to houses, knocking on doors and people were poking their heads out of the bedroom windows and telling him to leave the parcels/boxes on the table. He was fed up of going into houses with 60 inch televisions on the wall, lots of games consoles lying around etc., etc. In fact, he said that these recipients were better off than he was or ever had been.
Some genuine cases, however, many others taking the mickey.

Go to Bolton's only food bank mein freund and you will see the reality of real poverty.

I have told this story before I think. One of my wife's oldest friends issued an ultimatum to her husband of more than 50 years. "Stop going to the food bank or we are getting divorced." He complained that other well off people went so why shouldn't he?

Here in Bolton you have to prove you are on benefits and then some.

Greed is a horrible affliction. Just ask the Sun Bed King.

    And on it goes…

A police raid on a Quaker meeting house to arrest six women attending a protest meeting has been criticised as "ridiculously heavy-handed".

The women were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to cause a public nuisance, according to the Metropolitan Police, after attending an introductory meeting to Youth Demand.

Youth Demand, a protest group publicly planning to "shut down London" in April with a series of protests over the government's position on climate change and Gaza, had hired a room in the Westminster Quaker meeting house. It claimed as many as 30 officers took part in the raid.

Lucky you, you woke up, you could go back to bed, this poor lad won't be waking up again, thanks to your mates, the terrorist scum. When I talk about 'these people', it's the sort of people who support murderous scum like this I'm talking about, people with no moral compass whatsoever.

"Hamas torture protester to death and leave body on family?s doorstep. Terrorist group kidnaps Oday Al Rabbay shortly after he took part in protest against the war"

"Oday Al Rabbay was kidnapped shortly after participating in the protest and returned to his family?s home dead and bloody days later.

"Mazen Shat, a senior police officer affiliated with Fatah from Ramallah and a vocal critic of Hamas, said: ?Uday was martyred by the criminals of Hamas. ?And what?s his crime? He told the truth, because he refused to be silent on injustice, because he did not kneel to Hamas,? he told The Telegraph. He said that Hamas tortured the young man for four hours straight. Images showed open wounds and bruising that left the man?s body swollen and bloody. ?Hamas is oppressing people in a brutal way,? Mr Shat said. ?Like a puppy on a rope around his neck, they dragged him to the door of his house and told his family that this is the punishment for those who complain about Hamas.?

And you support this, there is something seriously wrong with you mon ami. Incidentally, while the Telegraph reports on the scum's latest atrocity, there is no mention of it on either the BBC or Grauniad website. not surprising, doesn't fit the lefty narrative does it, so just ignore it eh.

The BBC never reports on false news sinkov, they leave that to GB News and Fox News.
