My point is, that I've seen video clips of the 'incident' from three different angles, as well as photos showing the moment the ball strikes the top of Dalby's head, with his arms down by his side. There is absolutely no evidence to support the claim that the ball struck his hand or arm.

Like you, I think that this McDermid guy should be invited to present the video that he saw and detail the exact moment where he saw a hand ball infringement that led to him recommending that the goal be disallowed. If he can't, or if he refuses to, then he is corrupt as fcuk and he shouldn't be allowed near another game as VAR.
