Interesting read Soulman. At least Davies comes across as pretty honest in his appraisal of it all now.

I can understand his frustration but his actions were not much different than that of a petulant child -though Peace wasn't much different either and I've read similar regarding him before. Of course he should have had any agreement in writing and an older and wiser Davies also realises how badly his behaviour was towards his fellow players, coaching staff and fans who had nothing to do with the situation but I don't doubt his claim of a verbal agreement.

Petulant behaviour from players under contract should not go rewarded but in this case there does appear to have been some mitigating circumstances. Could have, and should have, been resolved amicably. Just hope that Davies has subsequently apologised to those like TM who were innocent recipients of his behaviour.
