That almost certainly won't be enough.
I don't think you're too far off with those predictions, marky. And unless the teams above us absolutely implode, sadly, it won't be enough.

After today's shocker we will need 5 wins from 5 to go up automatically and that ain't gonna happen....I just pray Chesterfield don't make the playoffs because we all know it's written in the stars that they will knock us out... obviously there's always a chance we can turn it around but its just very unlikely

I'd be more concerned about Colchester making the play-offs. Chesterfield probably blew their chances today.

Not the best days with us losing as well. There was always going to be twists and turns in the run in and after things going in our favour earlier in the week it’s been the opposite today.

It’s a blow to our chase for automatic promotion but in terms of our position in the playoffs we still have a six point cushion.

We can still get to 83 points but it would require something very special to happen. We could win four out of five and finish on 80 points which should just about be enough to scrape third place. Walsall are the team to displace. I think we would need to win the games against Bradford and Doncaster now to stand any chance of automatics. What we don’t want to do is slip up and lose to any of Cheltenham, Salford or Harrogate otherwise it puts more pressure on to win those two key games.

Our points per game (PPG) puts us on course for 76 points. We have obtained seven points in the last five games so matching current form puts us finishing on 75 points. Playoffs would be secured on either basis.
