I used to routinely miss the last bus home from West Brom to Smethwick on Saturday nights during my mid to late t eens meaning a walk home via Spon Lane in all weathers. Mind you, I did cheat and run when it was raining, no taxis for me. Unless I did the occasional runner of course �� .
