I wonder if Hamshaw would consider bringing Woody back as part of the coaching team.

You're not going to give up being a manager to become second assistant coach.

A point from these two wod be good going! But who knows? He's already done enough to all-but keep us up and when a certain some(no)body was hired I predicted we would fall straight through this div.
Staying in 1 was always going to be like a promotion for me.

Matt H has been mainly around younger players rather than the adult professionals.
Maybe, he will have the knowledge and contacts with talented younger player who have the talent and determination to become professionals that RUFC can bring on.
Recent management teams have had experience and connections with ? older more mature ? players, but Matt may have knowledge that could be useful in the closed season. He may be able to find a few youngsters that the club have been missing out on in the past.

Signing young players has not been part of our club?s recruiting strategy as far back as many can remember.

It certainly wouldn't hurt considering the crock of older crap that's been signed over the last few seasons and look what that's cost us. Young players are out there to impress and carry little fear when they play. Here's to Matt finding such players that might create a welcome change for us.
