Sith, as you?re obvious still annoyed about this:
What you stated that Tricky SAID is not what he said, that can be proved factually. So I couldn?t ask him to apologise for that. His rant WAS particularly personal and unpleasant towards you and as you asked for intervention I requested an apology from Tricky ?in general? for his insinuations. Probably better if you pmd such requests but whatever. Tricky refused to apologise but I?m not going to sanction him on that, because as he pointed out himself other members have refused to apologise for worse, and repeated transgressions, including against Tricky and as it happens myself
I should let it rest now, and assume most other members share your view about the original rant and subsequent unapologetic stance
Sorry AF but this is unfair and nonsensical. Tricky clearly suggested that Sith wanted to ‘trash’ Jews. It’s there, in post 3017 for everyone to see.
For Tricky to say he said no such thing and then completely make up what he did say is nothing less than delusional and for you, as moderator, to back him is just weird. Why would you do that and in what way didn’t Tricky make the allegation suggested?
The reason we can assume ‘most other members share (Sith’s) view about the original rant and subsequent unapologetic stance’ is presumably because we all recognise what was said in post 3017, apart apparently from you and Tricky.
For you to say you won’t get him to apologise because there have been times when others haven’t makes no sense to me. I could have asked for an apology from you when you’ve falsely described me as ‘anti Christian’ and ‘pro Muslim’. I didn’t because your opinion is not important enough to me.
Sith clearly feels offended at the allegation of anti Semitism being falsely directed at him. What’s puzzling is your refusal to act, or are we now operating an open house in terms of personal and totally untruthful abuse on here?
Thanks.
It's an odd one, I'd have left it had there not been another dig at me earlier today.
My first reaction was to ask for an apology, now I'm just baffled about the denial.
It's perhaps a trait learned from Farage himself who is well known for saying one thing then denying it or claiming he meant something else.
I'm not bothered about an apology anymore, I'd have more respect if he just said 'Yeah I said it , so what?'
A fair point.
I suppose for the same reason as you’re now asking your question…because we both care a little about the forum and I don’t like the way things are going if it just means people can make any old unfounded allegation and get away with it by saying, ‘I didn’t say that’ when, in this case, he palpably did.
There is obviously going to be disagreement on any forum. We join them to exchange views and opinions and there will of course be arguments. Personally however I draw the line at lying and character assassination to try and win a point and that appears to me to be what’s happened here.
More importantly, in the grand scheme of things - forum wise, I simply cannot understand Andy’s attitude. A blind man on a galloping horse couldn’t fail to see what Tricky wrote, MA even quoted it…verbatim. It isn’t the behaviour I expect of any even handed moderator.
That has to be a concern and, tbh, I don’t think you would have been quite so backwards at coming forwards if the complaint had been aimed at Swale or, in days gone by, Rats.

What hope is there for black v white, red v blue, old v young, Trump v anyone, Muslims v anyone or the thick v the intelligent if five or six blokes on an internet forum can?t agree on a matter of fact? Blue Mink must be turning in their collective graves
Very little, if you can’t/won’t explain yourself.
The quote is, ‘I think you need to grab a socialy workers placard and run for a free Palestime march, where you can trash Farage/Trump/Jews/Tories etc among many of the same ilk as you.
I’m sure you’ll feel much happier instead wasting it on here.?
I know it’s appallingly written and riddled with errors, but if that isn’t a case of Tricky saying, amongst other things, that Sith wants to have a go at Farage/Trump/Jews and Tories then what do you suggest he is saying?
We all recognise that Sith has little more than contempt for Farage and Trump and that he hasn’t got much time for a certain type of Tory, but to suggest that he is anti Semitic is, imo, nonsense and quite probably - in more important circumstances - libellous.
It is a completely indefensible statement and your lack of any explanation for your failure to act along with Tricky’s repeated refusal to retract is increasingly incomprehensible. You’re a moderator. Tricky is an ex moderator. You should both know better and need to explain yourselves imo.

Going back to a recent ?discussion?, interestingly the BBC news lead story this am appeared to resolve the conundrum of whether (a significant majority of) ?Turkish? (or other eastern-ethnic) barber shops are an example of ?immigrant? industriousness or a front for money laundering, illegal cigarette sales, use of illegal ?immigrants? and other criminal activities, very much in favour of the latter (at least in the target area, although the subsequent TV discussion suggested it was UK-wide). Weight of evidence therein sort of makes our earlier discussion a bit pointless
