If you actually took the trouble to READ what I posted recently, ALL the links go to authoritative, INDEPENDENT sources of information regarding the effect of the chimps actions, or direct quotes which come from those who you might expect to be a little more supportive of what it's doing while it infests the White House. I don't hate the animal, it doesn't warrant that depth of emotion, but I do I hate what it and its cohort is doing to a country I have lived in and whose people don't deserve the abomination that they have unfortunately saddled themselves with. I also hate the effect its actions are having on hundreds of millions of people around the world, either by reducing the worth of their pension pot (I am one such), or by leaving companies with no alternative to shed jobs because the chimps industrial "policy" (ha ha) makes investment ANYWHERE more risky than it has been in the past, or any other of the bizarre, almost humorous things it has done, such as imposing a 76% "reciprocal tariff" on a country populated only by penguins and seals (FACT, go check if you like). Have you ever lived (or even visited) the UK? I suspect, like Spaldy, that the answer is no, and that you get YOUR "information" from Truth Media (what a howler of a misnomer that is). I live here, have for most of may adult life, and I wouldn't swap the freedoms and lifestyle choices we are able to make each and every day here in the UK, and the benefits of a health system free at the point of delivery TO ALL etc etc etc, for all the chimps promises of a "beautiful" tomorrow. Hundreds of thousands more Americans are already jobless since the chimps arrival, soon to become those seeking unemployment benefits when their severance pay runs out (on average about 12 weeks from severance). Ask them how much they like their new life, if the chimp hasn't already deported them that is.

Ok, so firstly, I made it very clear when I started the thread that despite this being a football FORUM, I was starting a NON-FOOTBALL related thread, and this isn't the first time i have told you so.

Secondly, and for reasons that really do escape me, I am struck by how often you feel motivated to respond in the part of others who post here. Do Rich, Oranje White or itgers need or invite your intervention on their behalf?

Thirdly, and perhaps most significantly, it would appear that as I suspected when I started the thread, and of the greatest disappointment to someone like myself who holds the USA in the highest esteem in so many levels both personal and general, I see in the responses of those like Spaldy and others a skewed, misguided, ill-informed, isolationist, insular, backward-looking and ultimately delusional view of the world, in and outside of the borders of the USA.

Sorry, but daylight saving was of value, but no longer. It helped farming communities to stay productive by extending the working day during periods of the year when artificial lighting wasn't easily available. Clearly those times have long since gone so (for probably the only time) I agree that it no longer serves any purpose and should be scrapped. If the chimp can focus on similarly important issues maybe the adults can get back to some semblance of responsible government.
