I do Lol. They have wealthy backers, a state of the art stadium and they are sited in a London commuter belt location that is heavily populated with immigrant families who have no current ties to the other football clubs in the locality. It is not beyond reality that someone could invest 50 million to get them into the Championship and they now have a proven manager who can get them there. If they achieve that then another 150 million could get them into a position of challenge in the Championship. If they make it to the Prem, then they will scoop up immigrant families from that area and could easily get to 25-30K.

Its a long journey but for 200 million investment the returns would be there. Compare that with a club like Rotherham. Very little potential. Our fan base is fixed as we have seen over the past 15 years.

Not sure how those numbers stack up with FFP rules though?

That’s a fair point but it’s less of an issue in the lower leagues and of course it will take time. But the opportunity is there.

But who is to blame for that Brin? The city and people of Milton Keynes or the Football League? The latter get the justified abuse for letting the Bury situation arise, not the team/town who benefited from their demise, whoever that was. I doubt anyone can even remember.

Possibly Brin but you get the sense that he doesn't seem as excited by this challenge as the one at Derby judging by his interview. He did turn them down initially after all. The positions at Barnsley and Udders require you to challenge straight away. A bad start and you are toast and if you are successful then you are in The Championship which hasn't worked well for him.I wonder if he has lost some confidence since been sacked especially when you look at how Eustace has turned things round at Derby. MK Dons is,on paper,a safer challenge. He has the chance of 2 promotions before he has to meet his nemesis again! It will also be interesting to see how 'Team Warne' perform without Hamshaw's contribution.

Good luck to PW I say. As has been said it's a chance to stamp his mark over a few seasons. We've had some fascinating battles with them over the years, promotion and relegation and seem to have come out on top on every occasion. I look forward to renewing our rivalry.
I do think it's time they got their own identity, and dumped the silly 'Dons' moniker. It seems daft now.
