Yep I'd get shut of everyone of that lot. Plus Dawson. Not good enough, past it, or both. Or permanently injured or ill. Let someone else pay for them to be in sick bay

We played some lovely stuff going forward. Good 1-2 touch give it and go, pace, imagination and skill.
Wilks was unplayable at times with shout outs to James and Powell.
The defence was left wanting. They can still get relegated so had more to play for than us but we made it easy for them. Their first and third goals highlighted that we have a midfielder as one centre half and another who is undoubtedly talented but far too languid for league one football.

MH will see enough in these games to know what?s needed next season. Good going forwards weak in defence. Mansfield fans disgraceful yesterday spent most of the game tragedy chanting and singing let him die when Dawson was laid out.
Then again they were singing the same to Evans when we played them at their place. He didn?t deserve that.
Horrible fans hope they go bust.

A great game and we don't have any players and who is at fault for coming out of two transfer windows without a full squad? Our players were dead on their feet because it is the same 11 that we have left. Real credit to those players. They had fit available subs we didn't that turned the game. We can now see what a disaster Evans was and how much damage he has done to this squad. Clear out those that can't or won't play, get key players on extended contracts and start again in the summer. I do t expect much in the last three games because we have no players.

We were sat about as close to the away fans as you can get and the Dawson chant was a disgrace but really down to the idiotic minority. I'd say 99% of their fans applauded him when he was carried off.

As for the tragedy chant. Heard it a few times in the first 30 minutes but got the impression a few ring leaders had been identified and were ejected as I could see no other reasons for those early rejections. One caveat though, unlike most of the Rotherham fans around us I was actually watching the game. Not sure why so many go to just watch and goad the away fans. They missed some exciting stuff on the pitch

What tragedy were they chanting about?

After a slow start and conceding a very soft goal, we started to take the game to them, Wilke's first goal would have been fit to grace any game and had it been scored by a prem player would be shown over and over again by Sky, a hard one to top. His run and cross for Nombe showed exactly what he can do when he's on top of his game. The 3rd goal and Maliks 2nd again had it been scored by a player in the Prem would be getting shown every half hour on Sky Sports news. The pace, the strength to hold off the defenders who on more than one occasion tried pulling him down and then the finish with the outside of his foot, WOW!
Now to the officials. Mansfield 2nd goal was offside in the build up but the lino on the west stand side wasn't up with play so didn't flag, this has not only led to us conceding but also the loss of the slightly better of our 2 keepers, Dawson won't play again this season. The ref will also get a mention for not giving the mansfield defender a straight red for what would have been deemed a high tackle in rugby. Malik was away and there was no covering defender anywhere near, he bottled it, simple as!
The Mansfield 3rd goal could and should have been prevented, firstly stop the cross, secondly challenge for the header when it did come in and thirdly the poor excuse for a keeper made no effort what so ever to put his body on the line to prevent Bowry from scoring. The good thing is we're safe from going down because with him between the sticks for the last 3 games I don't think we'll come away with the points. He isn't staying so what does he care. Personally I'd dump him and play the academy keeper, at least he may make an effort.
Green shoots are emerging but the hard work starts on the 4th of May! UTM!

I think everything has been covered already. I don't think we can be too concerned with the way they got back into it. We're playing with the threadbare scraps of an injury laden Steve Evans squad and yet MH has already done what he needed to do in getting us safe, getting some pride back into the performances and getting some (but clearly not all) fans back onside.

Mansfield are a good side with a good manager who are battling for their survival, so this was always going to be a tough game and and we showed some good play at times and a lot of heart. Take that ethos into next season with some shrewd recruitment and I think we'll be just fine
