21 April 1964 was the date of my first match at Turf Moor. It finished Burnley 7 Spurs 2. On the 50th Anniversary of that game we beat Wigan 2-0 to win automatic promotion to the Premier League. Today it’s April 21 again so hopefully it will be a good day for the Clarets once more.

Seen stuff on social media about the Sheffield United players behaving like hooligans has they boarded the team bus last night. It all kicked off after one of their players got gobby with our fans then Robinson allegedly spat at some.

The result didn't surprise me, but the fact that United kept 11 men on the pitch did. The club has discipline problems from Wilder downwards, and if we had have got a 3rd they would have lost their heads

A truly horrible team led by a truly horrible manager. I was amazed they finished with eleven players on the pitch but Wilder was changing so many players they lost all cohesion and their heads had gone. Either Coventry or the Robins will see them off in the playoffs.
