Possibly you can see the reaction of many fans that despite us having almost the worst record in results since Christmas, literally almost no reaction by them on here or elsewhere. LB can assume that he will be here next season irrespective when other clubs would have ditched their management team by now. Meanwhile we carry on as though nothing has happened and the first thing Lee Bell selects for his team is how many centre halfs and defenders he can put in the squad while having a lone striker up front. The Chairman and Directors know all this and so why are Crewe so hesitant to ditch the manager? Money?

We should get rid of half the squad and just have strikers signed up next season. We really need thinkers and doers in football not lets see how it goes and then carry on regardless. I wonder how many fans refuse to sign up for season tickets next season?

Let me be clear Mike, are you suggesting we dispense with defenders? On the basis that they score 40 and we score 41? If that is the case, what in the name of all that is holy makes you think that would be more entertaining than what we have now and why would you think that would make us more successful. I assume you are smarter than that Mike. I think you are just prodding for a reaction, and I have reacted! Your idea of relieving all but one "managerial position" is the recipe for success is another one that baffles me. Now I am not saying it is a good look having the goalkeeping coach, the set piece coach and the assistant manager and the manager parading in what is laughingly called the "technical area", but to not have these people involved in the club in training etc is, again, laughable. In the modern game, like it or not, there is too much for one man. In any organisation in any business environment, unless it is a "one man bend", a management team is required. Yes there is one man or woman at the top but they need a team around them otherwise it all falls down.
It is down to opinion as to whether Lee Bell is the right man at the top of our management team. Some will say he isn't and some will say he is exactly the man we need. I will leave that for others to decided.

I'm not very smart sometimes or all times Timmy.

I am wedded to how football WAS played for a hundred years and it was truly based on attack with 5 forwards, two half backs and a centre half and two full backs. We won the world cup in 1966, something we have not done since. Why is that IS the question? Steve Holland was assistant manager of the National Squad but he was sacked by Crewe and a Japanese Team he had signed for for just 3 months and had one win in 11 games. Clubs won't and should not have to employ managers who have only won 3 games in 17 matches Tim. We should easily have made the play offs after the pre Christmas time and so just who is to blame for this poor performance? Every team has injuries.

Bill Nicholson was manager of my second fav team in the 60's and he was the only manager who looked after the team. the club, the fan base ie everything and they were the most successful team at the time. Timmy, there is no way my friend that having more than one manager makes sense as others will agree or disagree and a flippin GK coach? Do me a favour! Its back to whether players are good enough and no coaching in the world will make a naturally gifted player better than he is . In fact, they can and do make players worse as many coaches are just second rate players and managers. United have just paid 20 million for another manager and that was a great success wasn't it. I say again and again, managers should be apointed for no more than 6 months and then taken on for another 6 months and then sacked if they fail and no compensation involved. I'm not here to get a reaction, just to want us to play better and that involved far more strikers than we have. We were more successful when that idea was paramount. We should not be spending money on under 18's in any way.

I was a far better player in my early 20's than I was in my ****s as I was physically stronger and thought more about the game then. There is no way I would have a team with one striker up front. Not in a million years!
