We should probably take that “12th” with a pinch of salt, but the owners themselves have always stated that we will never have the biggest budget in the division because that’s not the business model.

However, this past year has been the first one in which player sales have potentially reached ?1 million (for Macca, Nemane and Crowley), so it will be interesting to see how this impacts next season’s playing budget. Then again, one-off off-field improvements like The Nest, sound system, etc, don’t come cheap, so there may be no discernible change next season.

Yeah all that datas based on an educational guess, I?m sure the owners will have a reasonable idea of what other clubs wage bills are based on past accounts and the quality of recent ingoings and outgoings.

They have always stated they want to have a competitive budget for a promotion challenge, 12th isn?t competitive. I?d like to think we?re no lower than 10th and would be actually disappointed if it was.
