    So who would you

    Like to see us sign to bolster the squad next year.

    My top 5 would be

    1. resign Archie Gray
    2. Lewis Cook
    3. Johannson or Cooper at GK
    4. Esteve from Burnley
    5. Delap from Ispwich (who has a 30m relegation release clause but I am sure is destined for the higher echelons of the league)

    I like your choices Hopey. Might be a little controversial but I think Kalvin Phillips would be a good acquisition - I’d hope he would reignite his career coming home, offering us a cheapish helping of experience having played at Prem level. He would definitely be interested in playing again for Leeds now that they’ve secured promotion.

    Johannson would be a good bet. I know he had 6 put passed him (Hardly his fault) but he is a fearless shot stopper and a safe pair of hands at a reasonable cost. He went from Rotherham (Where I watched him for a couple of seasons when Leeds were playing away and I couldn’t get to our match) and he was excellent. Stoke paid £5m for him.

    I might take a punt on Aaron Ramsdale aswell.

    Delap would be my favourite.

    Hamer from Sheff U might also be an option to strengthen our midfield and assuming his discipline could be improved upon.

    Would be great if we could look at £50m players but we’re a few years off that I guess so we need to get players in with quality albeit at a lower level.

    Really like KP - one of my favourite players of the last 20 years - but hope we don?t resign him. Think he was exceptional under Bielsa but the whole team was built around him. Eddie Gray seems not to rate him (he was in the Adam Pope podcast) and think we can spend the limited resources better elsewhere. Heart would love him to come back but my head disagrees.

    Was rather distraught we didn't sign Johansson last season. He's a beast in goal. Signing Darlow said we were sticking with Meslier. Darlow is solid but Johansonn would have been a long term signing. It didn't work out but Meslier was never going to get over the yips at Leeds. Good chance he does somewhere else if pressed to earn playing time.

    The old saying "you can't come home again" applies in the case of KP. I know it was big money but basically cost MB his job. Karma is a bear. Might have been a lot different for us if that had not played out the way it did.

    I really hope we go outside the UK for a striker. Like coaches it just seems that they are all recycled. The brilliant ones come from somewhere else and have something to prove.

    I also really hope we don't sign anyone that we were working on and went elsewhere. Hamer is a good example. His choice to go elsewhere but why sign someone that turned us down once. it's not like he's the best at his position.

    Souchek- yes. Tail end of career but a winner.

    Seems that in some things I can agree with folks;

    At least consider;

    Ramsdale and/or Johansson

    Delap & Szmodics

    Make sure we sign Solomon

    Would like to see Archie re-signed, but I doubt Spurs will let him go (unless Postecoglou goes and they rebuild under a new manager)

    Soucek (agree with Spaldy, imagine he will want to make a mark (hopefully not on other players!))

    My views on KP are well known. In addition, he has been totally ineffectual during what limited game time he has been able to garner and I don't see how we could carry him during any kind of "rehabilitation" whilst trying to survive in the PL.

    And I'd prefer to see Franke as LUFC manager, but I doubt we could persuade him to come.

    Oh and if Blunts don't get through the playoffs I'd take a punt in Rak Sakhi (or however it's spelt).

    Szmodics is very underrated and a very cleaver player - he?d be decent and wouldn?t cost a fortune. He?d work well with Solomon if we sign Manor.

    You're not getting Esteve. 👍

    It?s a done deal Alf - Esteve wants to leave as Parker?s fashion sense is too much for him to stomach for another season.
