Another assist for Forsyth. Keep dead ball delivery away from the ?ball players? and let Fozzy lamp it over, job sorted!

John Eustace’s record is now P13 W6 D2 L5 with a win ratio of around 51% (GP might want to check that!)
Bloomin’ brilliant considering the rubbish that was mostly served up between October and March and the fact that he has had little luck with injuries and inherited a bunch whose confidence was at rock bottom.

I stand corrected. Possibly worked out points return (20/39) in error. Who cares? Excellent turn around to take us from down and outs to within touching distance of staying up in two and a half months.

Which does suggest that your criticism of Warne's signings was wide of the mark and it was (as I suggested) more logical to question his tactics, man management and selection?

One of the biggest improvements has been how Eustace has used Yates who seems a different player, instead of being a lone striker as per Warne, Eustace has paired him up and he has thrived.

I f as has been rumoured it was Cashin's transfer money that allowed Clowes to dispense with Warne and hire Eustace then Cashin would seem to have done the club a big favour.

Poetic justice for Hull (not their fans who don't deserve this) for sacking Rosenior who got them to 7th last season, but was sacked because of his style of play allegedly, now where have we seen that before?

Anyway its a blooming miracle, we still have to beat the Stokies to be certain of staying up, but given where we were its at least given us hope.

Famous last words, I agree we are now in a strong position BUT its all to play for and fingers crossed we make it, as I think next season in the champ under Eustace will be a different story.

We don’t actually have to do anything against Stoke providing Bristol City beat PNE as expected, but I agree we should take nothing for granted and be monumentally grateful for our position going into the final match.

As regards your Warne point. I don’t think there’s much doubt that PW signed a number of duds and sicknotes. Having said that, imo, the most improved player under Eustace has been Nat Phillips and the biggest single difference has been making Adams captain which introduced a level of leadership which simply didn’t exist under Warne.
We also seem to have become better at performing for 90+ minutes. Coincidentally my second son is friendly with a former DCFC defender who will remain nameless for obvious reasons. He has suggested that the first thing Eustace needed to sort out was the general level of fitness which was apparently very poor. Whether that’s fair or not I wouldn’t know, but I do think we have seen far greater commitment since JE’s arrival.

I remain grateful for PW’s achievement of last season but equally I feel infinitely more optimistic about our future since he was replaced.

On the subject of Jerry Yates, the acid test is whether you’d want him back for next season.

Cov red card. It was 100% unintentional which is probably why people on here and elsewhere on social media are saying it wasn't a red. The intention is irrelevant. It is, IMO, one of those cases where the Law is an ass. He's chasing the Luton player and gets into a position where, in his gait, the Luton player's foot hits Dasilva's knee. That causes his right to hit his left and down he goes. Dasilva's contact, intentional or not, has caused the fall and prevented a goal scoring opportunity. Under the Laws of the game, the ref didn't have a choice. It was a red.

The Law is an ass. I'd like to see accidental comings together such as this one to be a free kick and no more than that.

IMO both sides were impacted by relegation nerves, them less then us. They had 62% possession. 15 shots to our 6, both just then 2 on target. We did more with our 32%. Previous posters have mentioned poor passing, I'd add in getting caught in possession too often. IMO, it wasn't all our "fault". They got on us quickly and that helped cause the hurried pass and the poor touches that saw them win the ball back. More kudos to them than bad from us. The new found togetherness, the will to succeed and the presence of a plan that everybody understands has seen us get to this point where four different things have to happen for us not to be safe. We need to lose and Hull, PNE and Luton all have to not lose.
