No he didn't, but the point I was making was in reply to a comment made, that Maynard may have been the most experienced manager available. He obviously wasn't. As your point emphasises experience guarantees nothing. But it was a long shot employing Maynard. Some on here think he's doing OK citing injuries etc. Most it seems think he's doing poorly despite still having a remote chance of automatic on the final day.

Doesn?t it seem madness people do think he?s doing poorly with a chance of autos on the last day and the injuries we?ve had plus selling one of best players and one of the others being out the most the season?

Would people feel the same day if we had appointed Cloughie or Parkinson and mirroring exactly what?s happened? I?m not sure I even know the answer.

    You do know the answer.

Some can?t get past his previous part time management status. The fact he was a BT engineer before joining Notts. All of which is irrelevant.

He could achieve the objective of promotion and some still wouldn?t accept him.

For us to be as arrogant as F-word fans we'd need to be demanding/expecting us to be at - or just below - our high water mark. We're three levels below that.
It's really not arrogant to expect the team with comfortably the second highest gates to get promoted.

Well at least he wasn't a Virgin Engineer, though a Sky Engineer might have been interesting.

Auto still of course not mathematically impossible.

And almost 70% of us vote to sack the head coach.

    BONKERS!

I respect your opinions. I love reading them. In this case, they are INSANE
I think you live in Australia. If you lived over here and went to most of the home games your opinion might be different.

Weve generally been pretty awful at home, and that I imagine is what most people are basing their opinion on.

To give him his due, away games have been much better, but nothing different from what youd expect from a team chasing promotion.

A part time manager with very limited experience and no track record of success managing a mid table level 5 team.

He's turned out to be exactly what it said on his CV.

Left field appointments rarely work. Notts County players and importantly supporters, deserve better than hoping a man who has achieved nothing is the answer
Great point ..you mean like luke Williams...!sit down !
