Other than the obvious difference that Wexham's money is real, the other big difference between Munto and what's happening to them is the influx of American fans. I used to look at their message board back in the day, and it seemed for every actual Wrexham fan, there were two or three Americans who signed up in 2022 and were keen to share their opinions despite having never been to a Wrexham game or even to Wales. I guess that's the price of success.

Good luck to them. They've spent their way up the leagues in record fashion, and I'd imagine the club feels completely different to how it used to. But I don't begrudge the long-suffering Wrexham fans a bit of success after years in the doldrums.

Wrexham are no different to the 90 other league clubs who I deem to be irrelevant.
It's all about Notts. It always will be for me.
Other teams will have their successes and failures as we will have ours, but is only ours that matter.
I sometimes even forget to hate Forest, I'm that busy loving Notts County

It's not an exact science and there will be setbacks along the way, but their strategy remain the best way to build something that actually lasts.

I agree with Swale above that Ryan Reynolds and Co. at Wrexham are an example of what Munto could have achieved it if had been real, and fair play to them. Our two clubs shared a special moment in time and the way Wrexham's owners responded to our challenge showed their class and sincerity. They appear to be the 'real deal', and I don't begrudge Wrexham fans their lucky break because their club arguably went through even worse times than us for many years.

We've both now got owners who seem to genuinely have their respective club's best interests at heart, and even if the rates of investment and progress are different, fans of both sides should have recent enough memories of what went wrong before to appreciate the comparatively good position they're in now. Both clubs are doing well.
    Excellent post

I'd say Horlicks to that suggestion
