Blimey, SD could be back in the fold sooner than we thnk!
The drums are beating in North London, the Spurs fans fancy giving Parker a shot.
Not what we need for the new EPL season.![]()

I can only go of what Parker has achieved here in his 1st season, and I believe it would be a good appointment for Spurs.
The way and manner in which he has turned our club round since is appointment is nothing short of amazing. He lost the main core of his inherited squad, and had a large percentage of the foreign players wanting out.
He also introduced CJER and improved the performance of others, especially Trafford, and Brownhill who has weighed in with 16 goals from midfield
If we can hold onto him I can honestly see him maturing into one of our all time greats, and I wouldn't bet against him being a future England manager
It will be a very difficult decision for Scott -----fight against relegation at Burnley or fight against relegation at Spurs but get paid more at Spurs for doing it.
The problem at Spurs does not lie with the managers imho but rather with the owners and the expectations of the fans. Parker has said that in his interview for the Burnley post he felt the values the club stood for and its reputation for loyalty were key factors in making his mind up to accept the job if it was offered. I am sure he would not feel the same sense of security operating under the control of ENIC and chairman Daniel Levy. Spurs have attracted some big names in the Levy era including Pochettino, Mourinho, Conte but they have very little to show for it in the trophy cabinet. Scott will be very much aware of the fact that you really do not get much time to make your mark at Spurs. Having achieved promotion to the EPL previously at Fulham and then Bournemouth he did not have any success whatsoever with those clubs in the top flight. He will I think want to do very much better this time around.
Another day, another dollar. 10 million quid compensation?![]()
