A bit of clever thinking there CBP.

We only have to give away fans 10%, as we are capped at 16,000 that is 1,600

If that's the case then why has it been opened up for Notts fans if they are bringing their allocation of 2,000?

AWAY area is capped at 2000, the other end would be capped as well,
But as we've not used it for yonks, we were never told the capacity limit for the other end, as the stand is in 2 sections

It is not capped at 2000.

2000 is the limit before county road has to be closed off and that costs Notts money.

The club have been very smart in this case, there?s no reason on earth to give Doncaster more tickets so why not open up to Notts fans (and pay the extra costs).

Did I read somewhere that our capacity is back up to 20000 too ???

You've obviously not read anything or understood it, forget county Rd or anythung else, the safety cert stipulates how many the AWAY section can accommodate. And if you read it where the club have said they've opened up 3 blocks of the J.S stand for home supporters

I think you're mistaking what we give away and the actual capacity.

The JS has around 5000 seats, because of the concourse, that has been limited to around 4000 capacity. When in mixed occupation, the maximum away capacity is under 2000 (around 1900). The other blocks can still be used as there is a segregation system below to stop issues.

The reason we don't do it more often is because there is no need. We don't sell out the Kop, Pavis or family stand so why open up the JS?

    Couldn't agree more.

This seems to suggest the current away area is rubbish for creating an atmosphere.

    https://footballgroundguide.com/leag...ts-county.html

"Unlike most away ends, this section is situated to the side of the pitch which means the view of the playing action is better than most at this level. However, on the negative side, the acoustics aren?t quite as good which makes it harder to generate an atmosphere."
