You really are a most objectionable person who only posts on this board to pick fights with other posters.
Last January 2025 I attended a funeral tea in Downfield Golf Club.
After it finished I spoke with the Club Captain who was helping out in the Club office and the acting manager of the Club.
I was inquiring about taking out 5 day membership as I have no interest in playing at the weekend.
Unfortunately Downfield Golf Club no longer have 5 day memberships only full memberships which are no use to me.
Despite what you post I could have purchased a full membership at Downfield Golf Club if I wanted.

Existing members can get a 5 day membership, interlopers can’t.

I’ll bet you couldn’t rock up today and get a membership.

According to Stephen Hughes the current captain of Downfield Golf Club only existing retired members can change their category of full membership to a 5 day membership.
In my opinion this is a mistake.
Retired members are not interested in playing golf on a Saturday and/or a Sunday when the people who work from Monday to Friday are looking to play golf at the weekend.
There are more than enough competitions during the week for the retired members of Downfield Golf Club to play in without taking valuable te off times on a Saturday and Sunday.

    Really?

How do you prove you are retired?
