I prefer winning football rather than attractive football. You?ll never get anywhere in Scotland playing attractive football because youll always come up against Celtic who are miles better at it.

If we played like the rest of the league, you would see the difference our bigger playing budget makes. Doing the same shyte with better players will win more often than not and you could also pick up the odd result against st the smellies

That said, I wouldnt want Robinson either. Horrible minging wee goblin

So ... No! Brendan Rodgers would not make us a better team ... in fact, administration would be a more likely outcome.

If you dare to speculate whilst downplaying, let alone ignoring, the current financial gulf, then you are destined to spik pish.
It?s nothing to do with money and it?s all about ability as a manager. Brendan Rodgers is streets ahead of Jimmy Thelin (currently) and that is why he gets paid better.
I want Aberdeen to have the best manager in the country but Jimmy Turnip is miles off it. There is more of an argument that any other manager in our league with his budget would have us in a better place than we currently occupy.
I am positive that if Brendan Rodgers was Aberdeen manager and had the funds Thelin had been given he would easily have us higher up the table than where we are.
I don?t see the fuss for the Turnip. We have poor goalkeepers, poor defenders, poor midfielders and poor attackers. We offer no real threat from corner kicks or set pieces and only play the one way which is easy to read and play against (if you are a decent coach).
We might win the Scottish Cup but it will be like winning a prize draw because it will only be won out of luck. We aren?t going to win the cup by being better prepared than them. They are streets ahead of us in that respect. They definitely work harder than us and that cannot be argued against. It might register with the posters who refuse to look at what they see.

We had a manager that was able to make us a winning team under McInnes and you weren't happy with it and that was long before he dropped his drawers for the hun.

That would be about as good as it gets for us with a Scottish type manager.

I've been entertained at times this season. The Hibs game last week was a particular good game, the huns at home too in October. If we can just find a little more consistency and maybe even a plan b for when a goes to sh1t, we should be good and willing to give it time.

Somebody like McInnes but not with that smug hun face, a bit of bottle and who wouldnt go ten games in a row without scoring. Its not a huge ask

Im not wanting a change of manager anyway. I just dont see the point in him trying to play a system he doesn?t really have the players for. We seem to approach every game the same way. It wouldn?t hurt to be a bit more flexible

I dont think it matters what style of play you have against Celtic.

We have tried sitting back against them like everyone else does and still usually lose.

Its 7 years this month since we last beat them, fair enough we have had the odd draw against them in that time but we shouldn?t be going that long without beating them.

Aberdeen FC are scared of competing against Celtic. The club use excuses like finances, expectations, wages etc but the biggest issue is we have completely the wrong mindset.
We don?t see it as a challenge as a club, we just sh!te ourselves when it comes to the matches. It?s extremely embarrassing.

We see what happens next season. The squad will hopefully be more aligned to the system he wants to play and hopefully we can get more consistency and have the players to get us points against the St Mirrens of the league.

He certainly won't get away without another period of not winning a game like he did this season.

I kind of agree with you that the clubs mindset is wrong when it comes to facing Celtic.

It was only a few seasons ago we stopped taking their players on loan and developing them for Celtic.

At least we have stopped that.

100 percent we should not be taking players on loan from any team in our league.
Developing players for Celtic was a ridiculous decision and whoever gave that the go ahead or suggested it should remove themselves from Aberdeen FC.
That type of mentality is just what I am desperately looking to see an end of at our club.

I fully accept that but between now and next season, theres the small matter of a Scottish cup final. If we go in playing the exact same way, 99/100 Celtic will wipe the floor with us.

F*ck knows what the answer is but thats why he gets paid the big bucks. Stopping Hatate and McGregor playing those fancy wee 10 yard forward passes would be a step in the right direction?
