Thanks for the reply, I will disagree with you on JJ I think he will come good, Homes is the one I am more surprised at, I see a lot of lower league football there are many out there who look good but lack the confidence and game know how to step up, I put Homes in that category, let's hope he proves me wrong.
The one I really like is McGuckin I was appalled by the treatment he received from Evans, recalled from a loan when flying put into the team away at Barnsley hauled off and scapegoated at half time and subsequently told he was not wanted. No wonder his confidence was low when he went back to Yeovil. I think Hamshaw is just what he needs.
Finally you may be right about Haks and Cam, personally think there is no chance of Cam staying, I am a little more hopeful with Haks but expect there will be a better offer for him, a lot depends on who the new Huddersfield gaffer his, however who in there right mind would go and work for that owner?
Just go on what I see don't listen to anyone only when it's official. MH he's like a breath of fresh air after Evans but he said his retained list would be business like but that's not keeping Kayode & Holmes. Like I said can only be for the micky mouse cup. Get shut of JCH for starters. Not bothered what CAM says I mentioned McGuckin before anyone else on here after seeing him play in the friendly's when Taylor was the manager he could be our answer wide right. Hoping Haks stays he's our main man! Get some younger signings in still got sicknotes here.
Fair do. Just can’t seen JJ coming good but I hope he does too. If Cam does stay then I hope that MH is planning on playing him in midfield and not at the back. He’s not got the physicality for a division one centre half or the aerial power. Similarly, if Haks stays then I hope it’s got the back line and not midfield.
I just think we need to secure an athletic midfielder who can bring the team together and take a game by the scruff of the neck. No one in the middle - Powell, Kelly or anyone else can control a game. MH needs a 28/29 year old who knows the league and can captain the side. Wrexham and Stockport solved that problem with James and Norwood. I think SE wanted Kelly to be that man but he’s not mobile enough.
I agree and would not be surprised by an attempt to bring Dan Barlaser back on loan, Kelly is a good player but too static at his age. He will be good for the last 15 mins when we need to close games down. Someone on x has mentioned Morgan Feeney and he would not be a bad addition at the back.
Not heard much about Morgan F but that’s a good age. Do you think Barlaser is realistic? For me, he is way too good for division one and he’s got over 60 appearances (many as sub I suspect) for Boro. If he leaves there then I would image he would be aiming for another Championship club but perhaps MHs connection could be the pull.
There?s a lot of speculation and second guessing going on . Let?s wait and see what the squad looks like towards the start of the season.
