The tactical game came at a perfect time because we were getting predictable. Love to see us qualify in our own terms now and not rely on other results.
Champions league and a cup, wow what a season that could be.
3rd and a Cup win with 2 games left.
Dealt 2 injury blows midweek with Willock and Trippier out meaning he had to make a huge tactical switch in possibly our most important league game of the season and still came out on top.
Interestingly, he said after the game that the plan was to attackbut that the players on the pitch saw it differently. I reckon he'll have laid into them after the game-you need to be brave to get anywhere in this league and we just weren't in that second half.
Anyway-I just thought, in the light of how we all feel about that second half, we need to focus on our elite manager and our strong position in the table.

...it felt like a huge tactical switch when I saw the team....and I liked the sentiment.
Perhaps it was too extreme at short notice but I'd like to see that idea developed as a plan B,C,or D for the future. We need more than one way to play depending on opposition and situation and with more games likely next season tactics with conservation of legs may be needed.
In short, IMO the idea was good but maybe not the execution.
...if anyone can Eddie can.
I think if we beat Arsenal (don?t think we?ll beat Arsenal 4 times in a season) and beat Everton we will finish in 2nd place 😮
Yup, all in our own hands.
No one can say Eddie isn't an elite manager now.
Well, you'd like to think so but we know that as long as he's Newcastle Manager. Until we win a couple of FA cups and more importantly the Premier League. The usual scum Cokie Ferdinose etc will always pick a the fringes of our success hoping to unravel the fabric of our unity.
They can and will try to derail us and 'Neg' Eddie, wrap their negative comments up in a patronising compliment. "Fair play to Howe/Newcastle, credit it where it's due.... Blah, blah, blah .... However, when United or Liverpool come calling Isak will be driving the minibus with Bruno, Tonali, Gordon & Botman down for them all to sign new contracts as they can't stand Newcastle and are all desperate to leave. Eddie's donna great job but he's gone as far as he is gonna go. But Defo, nailed on world cup winner when he take the England job!"
You have to be a special level of moron to make that pish make sense in your double digit brain.

Been awhile since I last posted, but I won't get into that, what I can say is we are in a commanding position to shut the mouths of ALL those @rseholes who keep trying to drag us back down. It ain't going to happen !!!! Our squad, as it is, is bursting at the seams with talent! Not since the mid-nineties have we looked this good !!! And the sad fact for clubs like Man City, @rsenal, Spuds etc, is we are only going to get better, as qualifying for champions league means even MORE quality footballers will be lining up to come here !!!!
I read some crap today that Man Ute were looking good to sign Sandro Tonali for 80 million
As if Tonali wants to go to that sh!t hole and play in the tutti frutti league. FARK OFF !!!!!
Andy good to hear from you mayte!
Yeah man, the number is an insult to the mans quality alone.
There is no chance that we'd sell to them at all.

Bruno & Tonali are both sold apparently. They've both hired Pickfords to help them and Isak relocate to Manchester.
Who would leave a Champions League team to play for a sinking toxic ship like Man U?
It was laughable when Rio the idiot included his failing ex team in the nonsense conversation about Isak.
Now we're not only got the pointless press reporting the reds 'set their sights on the REAL Bruno to replace Poundland Bruno, but, also apparently Tonali can't wait to leave the Toon to join the toxic wasteland of Old Trafford.
It's so ridiculous as this point. It's clear Journalism is completely dead.
80m doesn't buy Tonali's left leg.
We'd perhaps open the conversation at ?150m wil ?100m in add-ons.
