    Sorry to ruin your narrative.
    Where have they said this?

We do know that we're capable of winning away at the Thugs; but who knows if we'll be given a fair chance...
A great many people disagree with that, including me.

Stuart Maynard has achieved the best finish in 7/8 years, and if he doesn't get promotion this year, he's superbly positioned for next season.
For a crack at the National League maybe, it's only our away form that's kept us up.

Can't argue with any of this. At the end of last season, I thought that some of the stick he was getting was a bit harsh and was prepared to give him a fair crack this season - he's failed on just about every metric other than possession for which, as we all know, you don't get any points. He's failed to show any adaptability and if recent performances are anything to go by, appears to be managing a side that he finds hard to motivate

Given their turgid performances at the Lane recently, they've enjoyed far more support than they deserve in the opinion of many.

We got 35 points at home so it’s not actually true to say our away form kept us up seeing as we’d only have needed 7-8 points away all season to stay up.

Now performances might not be great that is a different thing all together.

Anyway he might only have one game left and then we will see where that takes us as it is possible as Notts fans know we can appoint somebody worse so I’m glad it’s not me having to potentially fire him and get someone new in.

That?s right. I remember listening to his post-match with Bracegirdle and feeling (pleasantly) surprised at his comments re; the owners? target. We were in decent form at the time and SM admitted we were behind the target. So how far we eventually finished behind the target must be a long way off what?s expected and throw in the other negative factors, I find it difficult to argue his case to remain in charge.

If he somehow wins us promotion then he will still be in charge next season.

Then we?d be very fortunate to avoid doing a FGR/Carlisle.

He?s not the right man to manage Notts County, be it League One, Two, National League.

How do you come to that conclusion.? Hes got us a top six finish and possibly promotion with an Injury ridden squad...he possibly deserves another shot with a fully fit squad.?
