With 2 games to go we could finish 2nd or 6th, mental I?ll be delighted with anywhere in between.

Well, we've bettered them comfortably three times this season. Play like we did those three games and we could pull it off.

So ****ing glorius it would be.
I've got a ?1000 bet with a Gooner mate of mine that we win the Prem before they do. Finishing above them this season & winning a cup when they've maintain their standards as specialist in failure will be a delicious Amuse-bouche for main course of taking his hard earned cash from him in a year or twos time! hahaha

Rich is out injured. Probably won't play again this season. Merino suspended before our game, two yellow cards.

    Good time to play them.

The early season delusion that they aren't losers washed away with the familiar stench of underachievement thick in the dressing room air. The inevitable capitulation, from a group of players and a club destined to remain an also ran for the rest of their existence.

The punchline of the Premier League, Arsenal wither away and go down easier than a glass jawed stooge in a rigged boxing match. The League's Jabroni chin up waiting for the inevitable KO punch to send them to the canvas.

A win against that lot would be delight and our 4th victory over them in a single season. 2 home 2 away.

If their cowardly neighbours manage to break a habit of a life time and not complete choke in the final this season will be an argument as to which is the two is the biggest laughing stock.

Regardless, Newcastle United are a different animal today & into the future.

We are winners, we contenders, we are champions.

We should put in a cheeky bid for Saka as a statement of intent when we finish second.

That would be hilarious. Not gonna happen, even if his dad is a Newcastle fan. I doubt he'd leave north London.

"All clubs will land a standard equal share fee, based on the domestic and international TV and other commercial deals, with came in at around ?95m per club last season. Newcastle's seventh-placed finish in 2024 landed them ?39.4m in merit payments - but that could jump by almost ?15m this season should they secure second spot."

As mentioned the difference between 7th and 2nd is ?15m quid.

    that's huge!

Bruno's yearly base salary is ?6,207,463 - that means finishing 2nd would afford 2.4166 Brunos.

Or Increase Isak's salary and fund the wages of a Rodrygo for a year just by finishing in the top 3.

I can?t help but think it can?t go on, at some point Arsenal must beat us? Just hope it?s not this time, they will be out for revenge but might be trying TOO hard and lose their composure. I?m trying desperately to convince myself we will beat them, don?t want it to go to the last game, and Pickford has a blinder and denies us CL footie, he would milk that!

Aye, that would be a nightmare scenario. You'd have got long odds at the beginning of the season on us beating Arsenal twice never mind 3 times so 4 is definitely a stretch. They don't like being harried and Joelinton is a big part of that.

We absolutely can beat them but I suspect we'll need to beat Everton.

Would snap your hand off for a point right now.
