Let’s be honest, tonight went as well as likely could have been expected. Yes we lose but Aberdeen take a pasting while St Mirren (just!) fail to win. Given it’s their trophy day surely tae phuck there’s nae way St Mirren are going to Celtic and getting anything while if we can somehow get our act together, just one phucking win against a piss poor sheep team will somehow get us in to the Europa qualifiers.

No faffing about in the six yard box with the keeper tonight. Sevelj played a beauty of a ball out to Middleton and the control by Middleton was superb.

Jefte gets a freekick for a fair tackle by Fotheringham. Just look at the reaction from Jefte, then it gets given, ffs.

SCH is what you want to see. I'm also disappointed that I've not been able to see more of Adams, Dewar, O'Donnell and Stirton. When we had a reserve league you could see who had played well and on the back of that they got added to the first team squad for the upcoming game.

Can anyone give me the answer to this, under Jim McLean how many loan players did we use? I can only think of Derek Johnstone surely more than that or did we just use the youth system better back then?

Onto the last game of the season, and anything could happen. It's been a disappointing post split, to say the least, but we are in a position where we could finish 4th, 5th, or 6th. I'm not sure if recent results/performances are down to the manager, tactics, fatigue, injuries, squad depth, or the leaving players making sure they stay fit for their next club. What I am sure of, though, is that we are going to need a really good transfer window and the backing of the owner because we will struggle next season with such a threadbare squad. One last push and maybe....a 90 minute performance! I am wanting to see them playing like it's a cup final.
