I'll hold my hands up and say well done to Celtic on making the most of what's been available to them over these past 20 odd years.

They've got the biggest fanbase, the biggest stadium, the biggest sponsorship, the most money from Euro campaigns and made the most money on transfers and I won't begrudge them that.

Sevco, as much as they're nowhere near Celtic's level are still far ahead of any of the other teams in Scotland and we can only live in hope that they spend beyond their means to try and keep pace with Celtic, these new owners decide to pack it in and the new club goes the way of the old club.

Celtic, barring a monumental demise will continue to scoop up every trophy from now until they are permitted to leave to join whichever Euro league is flavour of the month and I for one welcome that day, on the condition that no "B" teams are allowed to play in Scotland.

So as I said, get all the supporters clubs of the other Scottish teams to work on a "league within a league" cup to keep the supporters entertained, get media attention and annoy Celtic and Sevco at the same time.

That's the sanest post ye'v made tae date ... applause!

As a Dons fan though? .. two sets o' three words ...

    'At wis sair.

    Nae good enough.

Tae follow on? ... Ah tak on board folks criticism o' an earlier post o' mine givin Pape Gueye the benefit o' the doubt ... a bag o' tricks is good, but against a team fa winna gie ye time for tricks, and require ye tae master the basics, .. nah .. should never hae started ... nor featured.

Were we 'entitled' tae beat a second string Celtic team? At home? .... Jury's oot .. but here we had a demonstration o' the financial gap in Scottish fitba.

This game in combination wi the huns game was a public humiliation o' our defence. When Ah saw the line-up v hun ... Ah feared the worst ... and ma fears were realised. When Ah saw the line up v the filth? ma fears were 'lowered' .... but .. holy f**k!

There's nae doot Timothy were the better team throughout ... but . 5-1?

However .... see ma avatar ... Ah'm still happy clappin .... even if Ah did pesh ma brikks on a recent drunken carnage fest (auld age disna come itsel ) .... Next season .... we'll fkn rock ... hopefully buoyed wi the Scottish cup in oor trophy cab. Believe! ( and Ah'll sell ye a bridge ) ... jokin ... but ffs as lang as it's there, it's half oors til it's nae.

Just read that Liverpool are set to sign a loon from Bayern called Jeremie Frimpong, for around ?30 million.

Celtic have a 30% sell on clause, from when they initially sold him.

The financial gap is just going to be wider and yet when they are kicked out of Europe next season, it will be all down to financial gap between them and the big boys.
Hardly anyone in our media will call out the much wider gap that exists in our own domestic game.

I?ll think of these words of hope on the drive down ?it?s half oors til it's nae? and I?ll reflect on them on the drive home (on Sunday - we?re staying the night to celebrate you see)🥲
