You lot couldn't find a replacement for me when I offered to resign, so I think it's a fair bet I will be starting match threads in the 2025-26 season.

Somebody else mentioned the other day that if we didnt win all of those games at the start of the season we would be in a bit of bother with the form we have been in since November?

Looking further back than that to the last two seasons we also would have probably ended up in the relegation playoffs if we didnt have similar winning runs like this season.

In 2022/23 Robson took over and won 9 games which got us 3rd but we had only won 8 games before that which was the amount of games the bottom team had won.

Last season as well Peter Leven won 6 games towards the end of the season but we had only won 5 games before that which was the amount Livingston had won who eventually finished bottom.

Our form since November has not been good but it also hasnt been good for a few years other than a couple of purple patches which is worrying.

Ah've commented ower the years on the lack o' 'plan B' .... through McInnes, Glass, Goodwin, Robson, (forget Warnock ... no plan ever ), Thellin ... but Ah'm thinkin .... if ye need a plan B .... it's because plan A is pish .... maybe plan A needs a tweak.

I am only going to comment on Thelin rather than the previous managers?
Plan A plan B etc what a load of nonsense.
You set a team out to play and more likely than most your original thinking of how you want the game to go will more than certainly need adjustments during the full match. That is football.
You can easily see if a team trains very well etc by their understanding of each other over the pitch. You can see if the man management of players in the squad are by their level of individual performances and how interested they look on the pitch to fight their corner for the team and manager.
Football is a very simple game?score more goals than the opposition and work harder to achieve this.
You all know how hard I think our lot work as it has been well documented.
Have we been unfortunate?absolutely not. We deserve everything we have had so far results wise because of what we done as a team on the pitch.

The Aberdeen FC squad of players are not performing well and are completely devoid of confidence and understanding on the pitch.

I will let you decide if that is the sign of good management.

The Turnip is under even greater pressure now as a hell of a lot of fans are turning against him. A heavy defeat (unfortunately which is certainly most likely) in the Scottish Cup Final next Saturday should really see him being removed as Aberdeen FC manager for the benefit of the club.
I think most fans are getting sick of him and his squad of players.

Can anyone remember after which fixture Jimmy came out and was slaughtering the players and made it clear that some of them wouldn't be playing for us again?

I'm sure that happened though perhaps it was one of the previous managers as we've went through a load of them.

I'm curious if Jimmy did say that then which players, if any, haven't played or hardly ever played for us after that speech?

I'm struggling to think of any players that have been demoted massively, perhaps Devlin but that's understandable due to Jensen coming in.

Jack MacKenzie and Peter Ambrose have also struggled for game time alongside Nicky Devlin.
Thelin definitely had a go at players in the media but obviously didn?t name them.
Jack MacKenzie is leaving but I would imagine Ambrose and Devlin will be sort of hoping Thelin gets axed as it might well save their Aberdeen careers. Both look a good bit off it at the moment and their heads are obviously down since being axed so dramatically.

    Agree.
Ambrose just doesn't look good enough, although the loon hasn't really had a chance.
The fact he hardly played whilst we struggled for goals tells its own story.

Devlin might well be something to do with what The Moog posted about. Has to be more than coincidence he went from starter to bench warmer.

A shame though, as like Devlin a lot.
