Here is another conundrum?..do we let this manager keep spending on more players (he has spent approximately ?3-3.5m on players so far during his time here)?
We are already spending close to a starting fee of ?500k for a winger from the Australian league so it?s not as if Cormack isn?t willing to stump up cash.

I have given Cormack stick before but he spent a fortune on training facilities which aren?t get used properly and also splashing more cash backing his latest manager so in fairness he is doing his bit financially.
His choice of managers can be questioned but that is a different debate.

Do we keep backing Jimmy Turnip or do we cut our losses and back a more accomplished manager who has or even thinks he has an idea of what would make us a far better team.

Jimmy looks like he is really struggling believing in himself never mind his players. Can he look at Dave Cormack and say he has given it his best shot?

Ive got no problem with Cormack spending money on the squad this summer whoever the manager is.

It?s not entirely down to the manager who we sign anyway. Keskinen for example was being lined up since last season so he was coming in whether Thelin wanted him or not.

Last season im pretty sure that Or Dadia and the lad we took in from Liverpool were signed over Robsons head considering he never gave either of them a chance.

What I would be more critical of Thelin about is the fact that he has completely overlooked our youth system.

The club like to brag about how good our youth system is but its pointless if none of them are getting into the first team.

Theres a few players who won the youth league last season on loan at Cove and Inverness Caley.Maybe thats their level which would make our youth policy a waste of time but it would be good to at least give these young players a chance.

Ambrose frankly can fuuck off. Apart from being shyte at fitba, did you see the knick of him when he came on yesterday. Fat cuunt was clearly well overweight.

Thats a huge indictment of both the player and the manager and coaches.

Just sums up the poor state we are in currently.

Devlin played through an injury when we had no other options at RB. I give him huge credit for that, but he has clearly suffered for it physically.

The alleged incident with Nilssen would play a big part in his recent significant absences too though id imagine.

I would rather we played the final against Celtic with the youth team and their coaches.
Everyone in the country is expecting Celtic to win because our first team have sh@t their breeks and looking like a bunch of lads who have just been thrown together in the hope of producing some miracle but without putting in the effort.

Aberdeen FC should have the best youth team set up in the country.
We must rely on it as we invest a lot of money into it. Good young players get better through experience?.at Aberdeen we seriously limit their chances of playing regularly with the first team. Not many managers recently are interested in nurturing these young players and willing to do the hard work to keep improving them.
It?s a bit of a shame for the young lads when they win trophies but at the same time get sent a message they aren?t needed for the first team.

If you were a top young player with clubs chasing you would you sign for Aberdeen? You need to look at the bigger picture.

Do you remember around about 2017 / 2018 Derek McInnes made a speech about how us not having our own training facilities was holding us back as a club?

It was some spiel about how they had to go around Aberdeen training in different facilities and players couldnt spend extra hours practicing free kicks etc.

I think since we started training at Cormack Park when it opened in 2019 we have got worse.Going by the standard of our free kicks and corners it doesnt seem like the players are staying back to practice them.

I think its like that at most clubs in Scotland, clubs are reluctant to give young players an opportunity because the managers think its a risk.

If you gave me the choice between Alfie Bavidge or Peter Ambrose coming off the bench for us I would choose Bavidge. He cant be any worse.

I agree and it says a lot about the managers/coaches etc who don?t want to give the time to younger players (as first team coaches). If that?s the case at Aberdeen then you are not the right person for that role.

Let?s be honest about all our current striking options??we couldn?t really get much worse from our youth players. We would be better off giving them experience. I would prefer they were working with better professionals but that is another debate.

What I will state is that if we have a team of youth players (whose next step up is the first team) who are the best in the country it doesn?t say much for our top team coaches especially when we are toiling that they won?t try them out.

You get better at things with experience. Not getting the opportunity is hindering everyone when you are good at your game.

I guess if your theory is correct then Ryan Duncan will be coming back a better player after the experience he had had playing for Queen?s Park this season.

He should be. I hope he has training as hard as possible to give himself an opportunity to stand out and show his ability.
Let?s be real here?he would certainly have done better than say Okkels who we took on loan. I would much rather Duncan was playing than him.
