Might have completely the wrong person but you are about as ITK as we get these days on here?

At this stage a lot of us are just desperate for some good news to get us just a smidge of optimism back.

I cant bear the thought of heading into next season with him at our club.
There are bound to be changes
We just weren't good enough even though we really should have been

Some interesting thoughts from a Bratfud fan:

Give or take a word or suggestion or two that's exactly what I (and others) have thought and said about the playing style for the last two seasons. It's so predictable and so easy for clever teams to sit back and counter.

Has Maynard recently reactivated his X profile? I?m sure I?ve not seen it for a while until today.

If he stays, we'll have a bigger problem than SM as Head Coach, we'd have to look at our owners in an entirely new light.

Choking away 2 seasons from prime positions, no gumption shown in absolutely pivotal games, just succumbing to lame defeats as promotion slips away. The manner of these capitulations points to only one course of action. Only fools would do otherwise.
I agree he?s probably got to go but why is everyone saying it?s totally on him when assessing players on other threads and the ones that were available the mass part of the season and were decent throughout, Bass, Platt, Bedeau, Abbott and Didzy (Not all available all season) is it any surprise we haven?t got promotion? That?s 5 players out of a squad of 20 odd.

I don?t think Jattas declines down to him and Palmers either struggling post injury or is just finding L2s physicality too hard and the rest just haven?t got anywhere near performing consistently well all season.

You're right, but I'm not seeing 'it's totally on SM' either. It's about the Head Coach's accountability for his part of it.

Yes, we don't have quite enough promotion-level players, but I don't think Walsall, Bradford etc have either. It's about getting the most out of the resources you have.

SM had enough resources to NOT go on the long, disastrous runs in both seasons that saw us plummet from prime positions.
In key matches like home to Barrow, Cheltenham etc, away at Colchester we still had the players to get something out of those incredibly important matches. Choking at times like that is a terrible sign. If it were amateur senior ladies bowls then no problem, but at high pro-level football you have to demonstrate that you can perform when the going get's tough and the chips are down. We've consistently shown exactly the opposite.

Well lets hope that yesterday was about players leaving, and today will be about Maynard leaving..

SM is a thoroughly decent man
We should all remember this, it's the most important thing in life, to be honest and true to others
His biggest problem was lack of experience in my opinion, which made him fearful to change things

So What would you like ? a nice decent man with no idea, or someone who knows what is required to get results..
