Yasir and Eddie spoke. Eddie's been given the funds he needs to get Premier League players in.

So I'm guessing it'll be Trafford, Mbuemo, Delap etc rather than the more exotic names.

I'm not made at it but I was looking forward to some Gems from the continent.

Perhaps this is a case that Steve Nickson & the team had pretty much already identified the bulk of the targets that Mitchell was looking at. Or, we've just got to a point where Mitchell wanted total autonomy and Howe wanted to have more of a say.

If we look back to the last time Eddie Picked all the players. We got Bruno, Dan Burn, Trippier etc and then a year later Tonali.

I ain't made at it.

So long as we don't go and purchase Solmanic the Donkey From Spurs I'm fine with it.

I?d read the Man Utd interest resulted in a 50m price tag? I think that?s pretty damn reasonable given his contributions over the last few years for Brentford.

On Mitchell, I?m assuming that?s then ?mutual consent? line means that we have a clear plan how to proceed, and if there was any concern about us being able to operate in the summer (with or without a replacement) or had any worries that he would join another club and go after our targets then it wouldn?t be so quick to happen.

Like Raga I was hoping to see some gems from the continent come in, and maybe there still could be? our transfer kitty is probably pretty big, but it will bring in far fewer players if we only bring in Prem players? we get the experience as a positive, but we are still short of depth in numbers.

Guess we wait to see if a replacement comes in pretty quick, and if one does or not who we bring in over the summer.

Good news! I never had a good feeling about Mitchell, after his weird comments and the mess of last summer. Kelly, Ruddy, Osula and the greek... the Guehi saga...

We didnt get Freedman the last time around. Now hes at a PIF owned Saudi club. Hopefully we will get him this time.

If not, I totally trust our setup with Howe, Howe, Nickson etc.

Reading into this, Mitchell?s departure looks genuinely amicable. Also the club said that his departure will not have any effect on our transfer plans as targets have already been identified.

Aye, that is a reasonable number for Mbeumo, but tye Murphy stats were better this season. Not sure thats a clear upgrade TBH. I'd put the 60 mill elsewhere or add a bit for the clear upgrade.

For 50m it's a good deal. Anything more than 55m and it's not. Some talk of 65-70m it's too much.

Mitchell obviously wanted to get more of the players out the door. Looks like Wilson is getting a new contract. That I don't understand. I get the relationship with Howe and Wilson. Wilson's attitude is bullet proof I get it but that deal will have to be ?20k a week with bonuses if he plays. We can't keep paying for players that don't play or add goals / value on the pitch.
