Off the top of my head our current remaining squad consists of the following -

    GK

    Dave Richards

    DEFENDERS

    Will Ferry
    Ryan Strain
    Ross Graham
    Sam C-Harding

    MIDFIELD

    VIcko Sevelj
    Craig Sibbald
    Kristian Trapanovski
    Richard Odada
    Glenn Middleton

    FORWARDS

    Jort Van Der Sande
    Meshak
    Kai Fotheringham
Rory MacLeoad (he?s back after all!)
    Miller Thomson

I haven’t listed the likes of Ruiraidh Adams and Owen Stirton who may be now considered as first team squad members but at the moment that squad depth looks scary. Bearing in mind that the likes of Fotheringham, Miller T. and especially Rory Macleod, Meshak and Odada may not even have much of a future either and it makes it even worse. I?ve seen stuff on SM about a couple of Eastern Europeans being potentially inbound and even Scott Banks returning (!!!!!!!) but we have a helluva lot of work to do over the next few weeks………..

Edit to add - forgot that Middleton is actually now out of contract. Makes it even worse.

Lewis McCann is one player I think we could do with picking up. Might even get him for nothing as he is of the age where compensation isn't an issue anymore. Stagnating at Dunfermline. With the right coaching and in a better squad he could come good. Certainly would be better than any Odada & Meshak type of signings.

The striker situation is grim. Now Ross County have been relegated I think we should be looking at Hale.

The striker situation is grim? It's not even June yet.

It wasn't a comment that I expect we will go in to the season with the current players. I know it will be fixed. It was more to do with we are pretty much starting from scratch in the forward position as none of the ones we have left really cut it.

Struggling to find the date of our first competitive game either in Europe or the local cup, any one have a clue, trying to plan my football year :-)

Thanks to James McClean for dropping my expectations for next season for a wee while.

Wasnt bathered enough last season to work out how many we had for each position, and while i like 2 for each position at least, i think we need that for next season with more cover.

Are we seeing another keeper, or is Adams at the required level to back up Richards?

We need a full set of defenders plus some cover, and then in midfield we need a credible replacement for Doc and would love Luca back.

Up front is a real issue for me just now as i think Kai and Thomson should get their last chance, but the jury is out on VDS.

I do have a growing fear that something aint quite right at the top of the club, but im sure those fears will start to be dispelled after the weekend!
