If your 30 percent reference is to the rough proportion of Albertans who wish to be American, then I obviously agree that their desires ought to be trumped by those who wish to remain as Canadians. It is then up to the federal and provincials governments, and would be governments, to decide how much they wish to woo the remaining 30 percent with favourable policy promises in order to win their votes.
That seems about as reasonable a system as we can get. But I am certainly open to considering other ideas if you have any.

Note to board: The ? issue in the quotes above is due to quoted unicode characters not existing in the font the board uses. If the board moves to a more modern font the issue will vanish.

So basically, my PC sends the oldest ASCII ' or " symbols when I type, but a different machine is using more stylsed newer ones, and this website's font doesnt understand the new symbols so shows them as ?
If it showed them as boxes I would've figured it out a lot faster but this font must be mega old heh
Actually, that's not it. The different characters part is correct but it's not the font. The board itself is converting the unknown characters when we post.
Might be old school input cleaning. The board probably needs to update its forum software.
