I believe this is why we're supposed to be aggressively chasing his signature. We need to have a keeper who can do all the things a keeper should do but also has excellent distribution. This younger generation of keepers are all able more or less able to play out.

    Let's see what shakes out.

If the buzz coming out of the club is true they are gonna do early business.

I genuinely hope they do so we the fans can have some fresh meat to fawn over. The hysteria will build and build among the twitter trolls should we not nail down top targets early.

Especially the mockery we'll face should the players sign for the filth and other also, not in Europe, ran clubs.

    Now then.

Looks like the Trafford Rumours are bubbling back to the surface. So, who's it gonna be?

    Trafford or Joan Garcia?

I really think it might be both, they come in and we sell Dubs and Pope, Vlad is sold or loaned out, Gilliespie stays living his best life as our 4th choice and Ruddy goes to coaching.

So Barca have now put in a formal bid for him - lots of talk in Spain they are rushing it all through.

Tells us 2 things, to my mind:

1 - We were always a distraction technique used by his agent to push Barca.
2 - We are actually close and they are rushing to cut ahead of us.

Who knows - my guess is we'll go in hard for Trafford now though.

Trafford has been our primary target the whole time, like Guehi we are revisiting it to bring him in.

Like with Botman. Eddie Doesn't give up

I think a lot of foreign agents will use us as a decoy/name to pressure other clubs into action. Its because of our ownership plus a lack of understanding of PSR. Just something we need to get used to.

No doubt all top player's agents have had some contact with NUFC's recruitment team. The club will build a portfolio of players, to do that they need to speak to agents, agencies and representatives of players. Also, contact between club's recruitment teams to find out if players are going to be available and rough ball-park figures if so.
